1. Twenty six Examiner of Trade Marks and Geographical Indications in the Trade Marks Registry under the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Of the twenty six Examiner posts, two Examiner posts are reserved for Scheduled Castes candidates, one post is reserved for Scheduled Tribes candidates, five posts are reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates and the remaining eighteen posts are Unreserved.

Of the twenty six posts, one post is reserved for Physically Challenged Persons with disability viz. Orthopaedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy with One Arm Affected ( OA ) or One Leg Affected ( OL ) from any community. The posts are also suitable for Physically Challenged Persons with disability viz. Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational for Examiner Posts : Degree in Law of a recognized University.

B. Experience : Two years’ experience in handling Court cases and other legal matters or in handling matters of Trade Marks and Geographical Indications.

Desirable : Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property of a recognized University.

Duties of Examiner : To examine the Trade Marks applications filed for registration of Trade Marks under the superintendence and direction of the Registrar as per the provisions of Trade Marks Act, 1999 and rules framed thereunder. Any other work assigned by the Controller General of Patents, Designs, Trade Marks & Geographical Indications.

2. One Adviser ( Horticulture ) in the North Eastern Council Secretariat, Shillong under the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region. The post is Unreserved.

Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : Master’s Degree in Agriculture with specialization in Horticulture from a recognized University or equivalent OR Master’s Degree in Horticulture from a recognized University or equivalent or

Master’s Degree in Botany with Horticulture as a subject from a recognized University or equivalent or

Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture with Post Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture or Horticulture from a recognized University Or equivalent or

Bachelor’s Degree in Botany with Post Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture or Horticulture from a recognized University or equivalent or

Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture with Post Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture or Horticulture from a recognized University or equivalent.

B. Experience : Twelve years’ experience in Horticulture work including ornamental gardening.

Adviser Duties : To advise the NEC as regards the formulation and implementation of NEC Plan as regards developments in the important Agriculture and Horticulture sector for developing rural livelihood and employment and for examining projects / scheme proposals received from the eight North Eastern States.

HQ : Shillong, Meghalaya.

3. Six Economic Officer, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance. Of the six posts, one post is reserved for Scheduled Castes candidates, one post is reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates and the remaining four posts are Unreserved. The posts are suitable for Physically Challenged Persons with disability viz. Orthopaedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy with One Arm Affected ( OA ) or One Leg Affected ( OL ) from any community.

Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : Master’s Degree in Economics / Applied Economics / Business Economics / Econometrics of a recognized University, incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time-to-time.

B. Experience : Two years’ experience of conducting economic investigation / research.

Duties of Economic Officer : Preparation of analytical notes / memoranda with the application of advanced statistical / econometric methods, without assistance from lower level, on the various aspects relating to industry, agriculture, public finance, foreign trade and balance of payments, developments and policies of Indian / International economy with a view to assisting senior officers in evolving guidelines / economic policies.

HQ : New Delhi.

4. One Assistant Director ( Cipher ), Directorate of Coordination ( Police Wireless ), Ministry of Home Affairs. The post is Unreserved. The post is exclusively reserved for Physically Challenged Persons with disability viz. Orthopaedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy with One Leg Affected ( OL ) from any community.

Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : Master’s Degree in Mathematics of a recognized University or equivalent.

B. Experience : Five years’ of Cipher duties in a responsible capacity in Cipher Organisation.

Duties of Assistant Director : To assist Deputy Director ( Cipher ) in day-to-day working in Cipher Wing. To assist Deputy Director ( Cipher ) in Cipher Documentation and liaison work with concerned authorities. Maintenance of cipher projects. To impart training in Cipher Training Institute of the Directorate. To make proposal for procurement and assessment of requirement of States / UTs, CPOs / DCPW of Cipher Equipments, devices. Other administrative works like posting, transfer, court matters etc.

HQ : Delhi with liability to serve anywhere in India.

5. Five Junior Mining Geologist in Indian Bureau of Mines, Ministry of Mines. Of the five posts, one post is reserved for Scheduled Tribes candidates, one post is reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates and remaining three posts are Unreserved.

Junior Mining Geologist Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognized University or equivalent.

B. Experience : Three years’ experience in Geological appraisal / exploration of mineral deposits.

Desirable Qualification for Junior Mining Geologist :

  1. Doctorate Degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognized University or equivalent.
  2. Experience in different aspects of prospecting for economic minerals and surveying.
  3. Working knowledge of computers with special emphasis on commonly used software in office.

UPSC Junior Mining Geologist Duties : Conducting Integrated Geological Studies for appraisal of mineral deposits through inspection of mines in any part of India under the provision of MCDR. Periodic updation of National Mineral Inventory of leasehold areas. Inspection of prospecting license area and stopping proposals, mine environmental / pollution control. Techno-economic feasibility studies of the deposit and scrutiny of mining plan / scheme etc. Guiding and supervising the work of subordinate officers.

6. Two Senior Research Officer ( Educational Planning ) in the Planning Commission. The posts are Unreserved. The posts are suitable for Physically Challenged Persons with disability viz. Hearing Impairment [Partially Deaf ( PD )] or Orthopaedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy with One Leg Affected ( OL ) or Both Legs Affected but not Arms ( BL ).

Senior Research Officer Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.

Experience : Five years’ experience in educational administration and research on problems connected with one or more of the following fields (a) Teaching, (b) Research, (c) Educational Planning.

Desirable Qualification for Senior Research Officer :

  1. Degree / Diploma in Education.
  2. Knowledge of comparative education and history of education in other countries.
  3. Knowledge of educational requirements and education planning in India and abroad.

Duties of Senior Research Officer : Collection of data and preparation of notes and memoranda. Any other duties assigned to him from time-to-time. HQ: Delhi with liability to serve anywhere in India.

7. Seven Scientist ‘B’ ( Chemist ) in the Central Ground Water Board ( CGWB ), Ministry of Water Resources. Of the seven posts, one post is reserved for Scheduled Castes candidates, one post is reserved for Scheduled Tribes candidates, one post is reserved for Other Backward Classes Candidates and the remaining four posts are Unreserved.

Scientist ‘B’ Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent.

B. Experience : Three years’ experience in the chemical analysis of water samples and interpretation of relevant data.

Scientist ‘B’ Duties : Chemical analysis of water samples including trace elements, heavy metals and organic compounds. Compilation and computerization of chemical data. Preparation of water quality reports, submission of progress reports and planning field chemical analysis as per requirements for specific studies. Supervision of preparation of laboratory reagents. To take up field studies including on the spot water quality analysis.

HQ : Jaipur / Hyderabad / Nagpur / Guwahati / Bangalore / Bhubaneswar / Raipur with All India Transfer liability.

8. Five Scientist ‘B’ ( Junior Geophysicist ) in the Central Ground Water Board ( CGWB ), Ministry of Water Resources. Of the five posts, one post is reserved for Scheduled Castes candidates, one post is reserved for Scheduled Tribes candidates and the remaining three posts are Unreserved.

Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational for Scientist ‘B’: Master’s Degree in Physics / Applied Physics / Radio Physics and Electronics / Geophysics / Applied Geophysics / Geology / Applied Geology from a recognized University or equivalent.

B. Experience : Three years’ research and / or practical experience in the electronics aspects of Geophysical Instrumentation and repairs of such instruments Or

Three years’ experience in the actual conduct and interpretation of Geophysical Survey work, particularly with reference to ground water.

Note : A Candidate holding a Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology should have had Physics as one of the subjects at the Bachelor of Science Degree examination of a recognized University or equivalent.

Duties of Scientist ‘B’ : Planning and execution of Geophysical Surveys including special studies using suitable geophysical technique & equipment. Carry out vertical electrical sounding, Magnetic / EM profiling & Borehole logging. Interpretation of the date, synthesis of results and preparation of reports. Maintenance and updating of Geophysical records. Proper transportation & maintenance of the equipments.
