11. One Specialist, Gr.II, ( Jr. Scale ) in Forensic Medicine in Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Puducherry. ( UR-1 ). The post is permanent.

Pay Scale : Rupee15600-39,100 ( PB-3 ) + Rupee6,600 ( Grade Pay ) ( T.E. Rupee64,712/- with conveyance allowance by car ), NPA not admissible. + TA and HRA as admissible, General Central Civil Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted.

Age* : 45 yrs.

Essential : A. Educational :

i) A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule ( Other than licentiate qualifications ) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational Qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

ii) Post Graduate Degree in the concerned Speciality i,e. M.D ( Forensic Medicine ) / M.D. ( Pathology ) / M.D. / M.R.C.P. in Medicine with Diploma in Forensic Medicine / Diploma in Medical Jurisprudence Speciality Board of Pathology ( USA ) or equivalent.

B. Experience : Three Years’ experience in the concerned speciality after obtaining the Post Graduate Degree.

Note I : The Medical qualifications possessed by the candidate should have the recognition of the Medical Council of India. In case of medical posts other than Allopathic system of medicine, the qualifications should be included in the respective Schedule of the Act governing that system of medicine.

Note II : In so far as Post Graduate Medical qualifications awarded by Indian Universities are concerned, they should also find a place in the scheduled to Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, as amended from time to time.

Note III : Holders of equivalent Post-graduate qualifications as approved by the Medical Council of India from time to time will be considered to have requisite Post-Graduate qualification in the subject concerned. In case of medical posts other than Allopathic system of medicine, the qualifications should be included in the respective Schedule of the Act governing that system of medicine.

Note IV : Holders of specialty Board of USA abroad qualifications should complete the entire requirements of Board concerned.

Note V : In terms of Govt. of India. M/o Health & Family Welfare ( Department of Health ) Notification No. V. 110015/12/78-ME (Policy), dated 29-08-1978 the qualifications granted in United Kingdom shall be recognized medical qualifications only when granted on or before 11th November, 1978.

Duties : Incharge of independent unit in the concerned Specialty OPD and ward duties in the hospital. Supervision of the work of the Medical Officers attached to the unit and conducting operations, wherever necessary.

HQ : Puducherry ( Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe or Yanam Region ) Puducherry and Karaikal surrounded by Kerala and Yanam surrounded by Andhra Pradesh ).

Any Other Conditions : Knowledge of local language / dialects prevalent in the area i.e. Tamil, Malayalam or Telugu will be an advantage to the candidate applying for the post.

12. Two Specialists, Gr.II, ( Jr. Scale ) in Microbiology in Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Puducherry. ( UR-2 ). The posts are permanent.
