1. Five Deputy Agricultural Marketing Adviser ( Group-I ) ( Survey, Training and Quality Control ) in the Directorate of Marketing Inspection, Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture. The UPSC posts are unreserved.
Qualification : Essential : A. Educational :
Master’s degree in Agriculture or Botany or Agricultural Economics or
Agricultural Marketing or Economics or Commerce with Economics from a recognized University.
B. Experience : Ten years’ experience in the field of Agricultural Marketing including Cooperative Marketing. Or
Eight years’ experience in the field of Agricultural Marketing with diploma in Marketing Management awarded by the Indian Institute of Food Technology or equivalent.
Experience of organizing / conducting Market Surveys and writing reports.
Duties of Deputy Agricultural Marketing Adviser :
To assist Agricultural Marketing Adviser ( AMA ) / Joint AMA in all technical works of the Directorate. To render technical guidance in scrutinizing, processing and interpretation of data collected.
2. One Extension Officer in the Directorate of Extension, Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture. The Union Public Service Commission post is reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates.
Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational :
Master’s degree in Agriculture / Agricultural Extension / any of the Agricultural Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent or
MBA with B.Sc. ( Agriculture ) from a recognized Institute or equivalent or Master’s degree in Rural Management from a recognized Institute or equivalent.
B. Experience :
Three years’ experience in Agricultural Extension work.
Familiarity with the formulation and conduct of Extension Training Programme.
Extension Officer Duties :
To function as Scheme Officer for Department of Extension ( DOE ) schemes. To assist in planning, development proposals, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the schemes including release & utilization of funds, organization of review meetings and workshops, visit to the project areas. To ensure timely receipt of MIS reports, its analysis and follow up.
HQ : Presently in Delhi but liable to serve anywhere in India and abroad.
3. One Regional Home Economist in the Directorate of Extension, Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture.
Qualifications : Essential : A.Educational :
Master’s Degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Extension or any of the Agricultural Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent or
Master of Business Administration with Bachelor of Science ( Agriculture ).
B. Experience : Three years experience in Agricultural Extension work.
Desirable : Familiarity in conduction of Extension Training Programme.
Duties of Regional Home Economist :
Assisting Joint Director ( Women`s Programme ) in the direction and supervision of WP Wings, guidance to instructresses at the training centres. Preparation of Syllable, progress report and model lessons plans for the instructresses etc. To work with the officials of the States in the region and the Home Service Wing as Coordinating and liaison officer between the Government of India and the States.
To guide and inspect the work of Gram Sevikas trainees in the Home Service Wings in the region. To assist in implementing the Home Science Extension Training programme etc. To assist the Joint Director ( WP ) and Headquarters staff of the Directorate of Extension in general in implementation of the Training Programmes for the Gram Sevikas in the Home Science.
