1. One Assistant Professor ( Paediatrics ) in Family Welfare Organisation, Office of the DGAFMS, Ministry of Defence. The post is Unreserved.

Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational :

  1. A degree of Doctor of Medicine ( Paediatrics ) from any Recognised University or Medical Institution in India Or
  2. Post-graduate degree qualification in Paediatrics viz. M.D., MRCP, FRCP ( Canada ) or MD ( Paediatrics ) ( USA ) with complete and entire requirements of Board concerned.

B. Experience : At least 3 years experience as Registrar / Tutor / Demonstrator in the concerned specialty in the Medical College / Teaching Institution.

UPSC Assistant Professor ( Paediatrics ) Duties 2013 : To assist the Professor of Paediatrics in organizing and conducting teaching, service and research activities related to the field of child care and to organize and conduct duties related to the field Paediatrics and family planning.

Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational :

  1. A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule ( other than Licentiate qualification ) to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Holders of Medical qualification included in Part II of the Third Schedule to the said Act should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Act 1956.
  2. Completion of compulsory rotating internship.
  3. Post Graduate Medical Qualification in Anaesthesia.

Duties of UPSC Anaesthetist ( Family Welfare ) 2013 : He / she will give anaesthesia to all cases undergoing tuballigation operation or any operation in connection with the Family Welfare Programme. He / she will also have to do any other work assigned by the officer-in-charge of the Post Partum Programme

Notwithstanding anything contained in clauses (i) and (ii) candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission ( Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree ) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of National Eligibility Test ( NET ) / State Level Eligibility Test ( SLET ) / State Eligibility Test ( SET ) for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities / Colleges / Institutions.
  4. National Eligibility Test ( NET ) / State Level Eligibility Test ( SLET ) / State Eligibility Test ( SET ) shall also not be required for such Master’s Programmes in disciplines for which NET / SLET / SET is not conducted.

Explanation : The term ‘Good Academic Record’ means at least 55% marks at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject.

Note I : A minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed will be required at the master’s level for those recruited as teachers at any level from industries and research institutions and at the entry level of Assistant Professors.

Note II : A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the Graduate and Master’s level for the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Differently abled ( Physically and Visually handicapped ) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace marks procedures.

Note III : A relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. degree holders who have passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September 1991.

Qualifications : Essential : Educational :

  1. Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E and F at the Master’s level in English from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.
  2. Post Graduate Diploma in teaching of English / English studies awarded by Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages ( CIEFL ) Hyderabad or equivalent.
