1. One Assistant Engineer ( Works ) in National Institute of Fisheries Post Harvest Technology and Training, Cochin, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture. ( UR – 1 ). The post is permanent.

UPSC Assistant Engineer Pay Scale 2014 : Rupee9,300 – 34,800 ( PB – 2 ) + Rupee4,600 ( Grade Pay ) ( T.E. Rupee26,800/- ) + TA and HRA as admissible, General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

*Age Limit for UPSC Assistant Engineer 2014 : 30 years.

Qualification : Essential :

A. UPSC Assistant Engineer Educational Qualification 2014 : Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

B. UPSC Assistant Engineer Experience 2014 : Two years’ experience as a supervisor or as Junior Engineer in execution of Civil Engineering works in a Central or State Govt. Department or Undertaking.

UPSC Assistant Engineer Duties 2014 : He is in-charge of the Civil Works Wing of the Project and is responsible for construction and maintenance of all buildings, slipway and workshop other than those entrusted to CPWD. He is responsible for the preparation of estimates, tendering for works, preparation of contractor’s bills, annual maintenance work, upkeep of premises and campus, Guest House etc. He also keeps the cash book of the Works branch.

HQ : Cochin but liable to serve anywhere in India.

2. One Deputy Superintending Epigraphist ( Dravidian Inscriptions ) in Archaeological Survey of India, Ministry of Culture. ( UR – 1 ). The post is permanent.

UPSC Deputy Superintending Epigraphist Pay Scale 2014 : Rupee15600 – 39,100 ( PB – 3 ) + Rupee5,400 ( Grade Pay ) ( T.E. Rupee42,000/- ) + TA and HRA as admissible, General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

*Age Limit for UPSC Deputy Superintending Epigraphist 2014 : 35 years.

Qualification : Essential :

A. UPSC Deputy Superintending Epigraphist Educational Qualification 2014 :

  1. Master’s Degree in Tamil or Telugu or Malayalam or Kannada with Ancient Indian History as a subject at Bachelor’s degree level from a recognised University or Master’s degree in History with Ancient Indian History as a subject and Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s degree level from a recognized University.
  2. Doctorate degree in any of the above subject.

B. UPSC Deputy Superintending Epigraphist Experience 2014 : Five years’ experience in copying, deciphering and editing of inscriptions in the concerned discipline.

UPSC Deputy Superintending Epigraphist Duties 2014 : Preparation of annual programme for Epigraphist work and its execution according to the prescribed time schedule. To undertake extensive tour for discovery, interpretation and decipherment of Epigraphs / Interpretation after taking stumpages. To bring out critical notes on the various aspects of the Epigraphical like stone, wood, sculptures, bronzes and wood work etc.

HQ : Office of the Director ( Epigraphy ), ASI, Southern Region Mysore.

3. Eight Specialist Grade III ( Anaesthesia ) Non-Teaching specialist sub-cadre of CHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. ( SC – 1, ST – 2, OBC – 3, UR – 2 ). The posts are permanent.

UPSC Specialist Grade III Pay Scale 2014 : Rupee15600 – 39,100 ( PB – 3 ) + Rupee6,600 ( Grade Pay ) ( T.E. Rupee44,400/- ) + NPA, TA and HRA as admissible, Central Health Service, Non – Teaching Specialist Sub – Cadre, Group ‘A’.

*Age Limit for UPSC Specialist Grade III 2014 : 40 years.

Qualification : Essential :

A. UPSC Specialist Grade III Educational Qualification 2014 :

  1. A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the first or the second schedule or part II of the third schedule ( other than licentiate qualifications ) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  2. Post Graduate degree or Diploma in the concerned speciality or Super-speciality mentioned in Section A or Section B in Schedule VI i.e. Doctor of Medicine ( Anaesthesiology ); Master of Surgery ( Anaesthesiology ); or Diploma in Anaesthesiology.

Note I : The Medical qualifications possessed by the candidate should have the recognition of the Medical Council of India.

Note II : Any Post Graduate Degree or Diploma awarded by any Indian Universities, included in or excluded from, the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 ( 102 of 1956 ), consequent to recognition granted or withdrawn by Government of India as per provisions of the said Act shall be deemed to have been included or excluded accordingly from the Schedule VI.

Note III : The Post graduate Medical qualifications awarded by India Universities must have been included in the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 ( 102 of 1956 ) for the purpose of Schedule VI.

Note IV : In the case of holder of Doctorate of Medicine ( D.M. ) or Magister Chirurgiae ( M.Ch. ) qualification of five years’ duration, the period of Senior Post Graduate residency rendered in the last part of the said of Doctorate of Medicine ( D.M. ) or Magister Chirurgiae ( M.Ch ) shall be counted towards requirement of experience.

B. UPSC Specialist Grade III Experience 2014 : Three years experience in the concerned specialty or Super-specialty after obtaining the first Post graduate degree or five years’ experience after post graduate diploma.

UPSC Specialist Grade III Duties 2014 : To conduct and guide research work in the specialty. To render patient care in the specialty. Any other duties that may be assigned by the authorities from time to time.

HQ : The candidate will be initially posted at Andaman & Nicobar Islands Admn. However the candidate is liable to serve any where in India.

Any Other Conditions : The other conditions of service will be laid down in the CHS Rules, 1996, and other rules in force from time to time in particular :

  1. Private practice of any kind what so ever shall not be allowed including any consultation and laboratory practice.
  2. The candidate selected shall, if so required, be liable to serve in any Defence service or post connected with the Defence of India, for a period not less than four years including the period spent in training if any : Provided that such officer shall not (a) be required to serve as aforesaid after the expiry of ten years from the date of appointment or from the date of joining the service, (b) Ordinarily be required to serve as aforesaid after attaining the age of 45 years.

4. One Junior Scientific Officer ( Pharmaceutical Chemistry ) in Central Drugs Laboratory, Kolkata, Directorate General of Health Services, Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation ( CDSCO ), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. ( OBC – 1 ). The post is suitable for Physically Challenged Persons with disability viz. Hearing Impairment i.e. Deaf ( D ) or Partially Deaf ( PD ) or Orthopedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy with One Leg Affected ( Right or Left ) ( OL ). The post is permanent.

UPSC Junior Scientific Officer Pay Scale 2014 : Rupee9,300 – 34,800 ( PB – 2 ) + Rupee4,800 ( Grade Pay ) ( T.E. Rupee27,200/- ) + TA and HRA as admissible, General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted.

*Age Limit for UPSC Junior Scientific Officer 2014 : 38 years.

Qualification : Essential :

A. UPSC Junior Scientific Officer Educational 2014 : M.Sc Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Organic Chemistry or Pharmacy of a recognized University.

B. UPSC Junior Scientific Officer Experience 2014 : Two years’ research experience preferably in the field of drugs.

UPSC Junior Scientific Officer Desirable Qualification 2014 :

  1. Doctorate degree in the relevant field.
  2. Experience in the methods of drug testing and standardisation with knowledge of modern instrumental methods of analysis.

UPSC Junior Scientific Officer Duties 2014 : Analysis of complicated drug samples by physicochemical methods, using sophisticated instruments like Gas Liquid Chromatography, High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Infra Red Spectrophotometer etc. Standardisation of Reference Standards. Carrying out research work pertaining to quality control of drugs. Imparting training to Drug Analysts. Helping Sectional in-charge in technical and administrative work including review of monographs of Pharmacopoeia.

HQ : Kolkata with All India Service Liability.

5. Two Additional Government Advocate in Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice. ( OBC – 1, UR – 1 ). The posts are suitable for Physically Challenged Persons with disability viz. Blindness or Low Vision i.e. Blind ( B ) or Partially Blind ( PB ) or Orthopedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy with Both Legs Affected but not arms ( BL ) or One Leg Affected ( Right or Left ) ( OL ) or One Arm Affected ( Right or Left ) ( OA ) or One Leg and One Arm Affected ( OLA ). The posts are permanent.

UPSC Additional Government Advocate Pay Scale 2014 : Rupee37,400 – 67,000 ( PB – 4 ) + Rupee8,700 ( Grade Pay ) ( T.E. Rupee92,200/- ) + TA and HRA as admissible, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Grade – II of Government Advocates Service Cadre of Indian Legal Service.

*Age Limit for UPSC Additional Government Advocate 2014 : 50 years.

Qualification : Essential :

UPSC Additional Government Advocate Educational Qualification 2014 : A person shall not be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment to a duty post in Grade II, unless he holds a Degree in Law of a recognized University or LLB and unless he has been a member of a State Judicial Service for a period of not less than thirteen years or has held a superior post in the legal department of a State for a period of not less than thirteen years or a Central Government servant who has had experience in legal affairs for not less than thirteen years or is a qualified legal practitioner.

Note I : The ‘qualified legal practitioner’ in relation to appointment to a duty post in Grade II by direct recruitment means an advocate or a pleader who has practiced as such for at least thirteen years, or an attorney of the High Court of Bombay or Calcutta who has practiced as such attorney and an advocate for a total period of at least eleven years.

Note II : The candidate should be eligible for enrollment as an advocate in the Supreme Court under Supreme Court Rules, 1950 as amended from time to time and for registration as an Advocate on Record of that Court under the said rules.

Note III : A superior post in the Legal Department of a State means that he should have experience in the State Government in a post which is not clerical and which requires qualification of Degree in Law for appointment to it.

UPSC Additional Government Advocate Duties 2014 : To give advice on all matters referred by the various Ministries / Departments of the Government of India. To look after Government litigation work. To conduct court cases and to appear in courts on behalf of the Central Government, wherever required and; To perform administrative and other works as may be assigned.

HQ : New Delhi / Mumbai / Kolkata / Chennai / Bengaluru with liability to serve anywhere in India.

UPSC Deputy Government Advocate Educational Qualification 2014 : A person shall not be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment to a duty post in Grade III, unless he holds a Degree in Law of a recognized University or LLB and unless he has been a member of a State Judicial Service for a period of not less than ten years or has held a superior post in the legal department of a State for a period of not less than ten years or a Central Government servant who has had experience in legal affairs for not less than ten years or possesses a Master’s Degree in Law and has had teaching or research experience in Law for not less than eight years or is a qualified legal practitioner of not less than 35 years of age.

Note I : The ‘qualified legal practitioner’ in relation to appointment to a duty post in Grade III by direct recruitment means an advocate or a pleader who has practiced as such for at least ten years or an attorney of the High Court of Bombay or Calcutta who has practiced as such for at least eight years or has practiced as such attorney and an advocate for a total period of at least eight years.

UPSC Assistant Legal Adviser Educational Qualification 2014 : A person shall not be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment to a duty post in Grade IV, unless he holds a Degree in Law of a recognized University or LLB and unless he has been a member of a State Judicial Service for a period of not less than seven years or has held a superior post in the legal department of a State for a period of not less than seven years or a Central Government servant who has had experience in legal affairs for not less than seven years or possesses a Master’s Degree in Law and has had teaching or research experience in Law for not less than five years or is a qualified legal practitioner of not less than 30 years of age.

  1. Degree in Ayurveda of a recognised University / Statutory State Board / Council / Faculty of Indian Medicine or equivalent recognized under Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 ( 48 of 1970 ).
  2. Enrolment on Central / State Register of Indian Medicine.

UPSC Medical Officer Desirable Qualification 2014 : Knowledge of Local language Gujarati.

UPSC Medical Officer Duties 2014 : To look after Out Patient Department in Ayurvedic Clinic / Dispensary or at Primary Health Centre as per Indian Public Health Standards norms.

HQ : Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
