UPSC Assistant Editors Qualifications 2016 :

Essential :

(A) UPSC Assistant Editors Educational Qualification 2016 : M.Sc. in Agriculture or Agricultural Extension from a recognized University or Institute.

(B) UPSC Assistant Editors Experience 2016 : Two years experience of writing or editing or compiling articles in English on topics related to Agriculture or in Audio – visual presentations or exhibitions in English on topics related to Agriculture.

UPSC Assistant Editors Desirable 2016 :

  1. Diploma in Journalism from a recognized University or Institute or equivalent.
  2. Working knowledge of Hindi.

UPSC Assistant Editors Duties 2016 :

  1. Edit or facilitate editing of Agriculture / Agriculture Extension related articles / magazines / newspapers & other print media dealt with by DOE.
  2. Planning & layout Production and timely dispatch of DOE publication ( regular & adhoc ) of DOE publication ( regular & adhoc ).
  3. Examing written material , scrutnize and edit reports of meetings important events etc.

UPSC Associate Professor Pay Scale 2016 : Rupee37,400 – 67,000 + Rupee9,000 ( Academic Grade Pay ) ( T.E. Rupee1,01,616/- Approx. ) + TA and HRA as admissible. General Central Service, Group A, ‘Gazetted’, Non – Ministerial.

UPSC Associate Professor Qualifications 2016 :

Essential :

(A) UPSC Associate Professor Educational Qualification 2016 :

  1. Good academic record with a Ph.D degree in Arabic.
  2. A Master’s Degree in Arabic with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
  3. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses and technology mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.
  4. A minimum score of 300 points as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator ( API ) based Performance Based Appraisal System ( PBAS ) by the University Grants Commission.

Explanations :

  1. The term “Good Academic Record” means at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E and F at Master’s Degree level in Arabic from an Indian University or an equivalent Degree from accredited foreign University.
  2. Fulfillment of any one of the conditions stipulated at EQ (iii) will be considered sufficient towards requirement of EQ (iii).
  3. Consolidated API score requirement of 300 points from category III of APIs shall be as stipulated by UGC Notification dated 30 Jun 2010 as amended vide UGC Notification dated 13 Jun 2013 for the post of Associate Professor.

Note – 1 : A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master’s level for the Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Differently – abled ( Physically and visually handicapped ) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.

Note – 2 : A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. holders who have passed their Master’s degree prior to 19th September, 1991.

Note – 3 : Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed by a recognised University, shall also be considered eligible.

Note – 4 : The period of time taken by candidates to acquire M.Phil., and / or Ph.D degree shall not be considered as teaching / research experience to be claimed for appointment to the teaching positions.

(B) UPSC Associate Professor Experience 2016 : Minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and or research in Arabic in an academic / research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution / Industry excluding the period of Ph.D research with evidence of published work and a minimum of five publications as books and or research / policy papers.

Note : The period of time taken by candidates to acquire M.Phil., and or Ph.D degree shall not be considered as teaching / research experience to be claimed for appointment to the teaching positions.

UPSC Associate Professor Duties 2016 : In addition to primary duty of teaching, an Associate Professor would participate in all academic / social events. He / she would assist the Head of Department in revision of syllabus and day to day functioning of the department. Special duties such as Officer – In – Charge Examination, Library NDA journal are assigned to Associate Professors.

3. Ten Chemical Examiners Grade – II in Central Revenues Control Laboratory ( CRCL ), Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue ( SC – 02, ST – 01, OBC – 02 & UR – 05 ). The posts are permanent.

UPSC Chemical Examiners Qualifications 2016 :

Essential :

(A) UPSC Chemical Examiners Educational Qualification 2016 : Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent*.

Note : *There is no equivalent qualification for Master’s degree in Chemistry.

(B) UPSC Chemical Examiners Experience 2016 : Three years experience in Chemical analysis of different commodities / Research in Analytical / Organic / Inorganic Chemistry.

UPSC Chemical Examiners Desirable 2016 : Training / experience in Spectroscopic and Chromotographic method of analysis.

UPSC Chemical Examiners Duties 2016 : Chemical Examiner Grade – II holds the charge of small laboratory and issue test reports analyzed by sub – ordinate staff. Chemical Examiner Grade – II offers technical opinion to the officers of Central Excise & Customs and inspects the factories when required.

Head Quarters : Central Revenue Control Laboratory, New Delhi but liable to serve anywhere in India in attached and subordinate offices under Central Board of Excise and Customs.

4. Three Specialists Grade – III Assistant Professors ( Neonatology ) in Teaching Specialist Sub – Cadre of Central Health Service, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare ( UR – 03 ). The posts are suitable for Physically Challenged Persons with disability viz. Orthopaedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy with Both Legs Affected but not Arms ( BL ) or One Leg Affected ( Right or Left ) ( OL ) or Muscular Weakness and Limited Physical Endurance ( MW ). The posts are permanent.

UPSC Specialists Grade – III Assistant Professors Pay Scale 2016 : Rupee15,600 – 39,100 ( PB – 3 ) + Rupee6,600 ( Grade Pay ) ( T.E. Rupee48,618/- Approx. ) + NPA + TA and HRA as admissible. Central Health Service, Group A.

UPSC Specialists Grade – III Assistant Professors Qualification 2016 :

Essential :

(A) UPSC Specialists Grade – III Assistant Professors Educational Qualification 2016 :

  1. A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or the Second Schedule or Part – II of the Third Schedule ( other than licentiate qualifications ) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 ( 102 of 1956 ). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part – II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub – section ( 3 ) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 ( 102 of 1956 ).
  2. Post – Graduate degree in the concerned specialty or Superspeciality i.e. Doctorate of Medicine ( Neonatology ); or Doctor of Medicine ( Paediatrics ) with two years special training in Neonatology.

Note – 1 : Teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Registrar or Demonstrator in Department of Neonatology after MD ( Paediatrics ) shall be considered as special training in Neonatology. Therefore, the candidates having MD ( Paediatrics ) only must have minimum two years experience in the Department of Neonatology and remaining one year in the Department of Paediatrics to become eligible for the post.

Note – 2 : For equivalence of DNB qualifications with MD / MS or DM / M.Ch, the candidates holding DNB qualifications would need to get their qualification verified by NBE as to whether it is as per the requirement of the Gazette notification No.MCI – 12 ( 2 ) / 2010 – Med. Misc. dated 11.6.2012 and produce such verification certificate at the time of interview.

Note – 3 : Any Post Graduation Degree or Diploma awarded by any Indian Universities, included in or excluded from, the Schedules to Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 ( 102 of 1956 ), consequent to recognition granted or withdrawn by Govt of India as per provisions of the said Act shall be deemed to have been included or excluded accordingly from the Schedule – VI.

Note – 4 : The Post Graduation Medical Qualifications awarded by Indian Universities, must have been included in the Schedules to Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 ( 102 of 1956 ) for the purpose of Schedule VI.

Note – 5 : In the case of holders of Doctorate of Medicine ( DM ) or Magister Chirurgiae ( M.Ch. ) qualification of five years duration, the period of five years’ duration, the period of Senior Post Graduate residency rendered in the last part of the said of Doctorate of Medicine ( DM ) or Magister Chirurgiae ( M.Ch. ) shall be counted towards requirement of teaching experience.

(B) UPSC Specialists Grade – III Assistant Professors Experience 2016 : At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar in the concerned Specialty or Super – speciality in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the first Post graduate degree.

Note : Teaching experience in any other post like the post of General Duty Medical Officer or Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to teaching posts.

UPSC Specialists Grade – III Assistant Professors Duties 2016 :

  1. To impart theoretical and practical instructions to undergraduate / post – graduate medical students.
  2. To conduct and guide research work in the speciality.
  3. To render patient care in the speciality.
  4. Any other duties that may be assigned by the authorities from time to time.

Any Other Conditions :

  1. Private practice of any kind whatsoever shall not be allowed including any consultation and laboratory practice.
  2. The candidate selected will, if so required shall be liable to serve in any Defence service or post connected with the Defence of India, for a period not less than four years including the period spent in training, if any : Provided that such officer shall not (a) be required to serve as aforesaid after the expiry of ten years from the date of appointment or from the date of joining the service, (b) Ordinarily be required to serve as aforesaid after attaining the age of 45 years.

5. Two Junior Scientific Officers ( Physics ) in Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Ministry of Home Affairs, Directorate of Forensic Science Services ( OBC – 01 & UR – 01 ). The posts are suitable for Physically Challenged Persons with disability viz. Orthopaedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy with One Leg Affected ( Right or Left ) ( OL ). (B) UPSC Junior Scientific Officers Experience 2016 : Two years experience of Analytical method and research in the field of Physics.

UPSC Junior Scientific Officers Duties 2016 : Crime Scene Management, Crime Case Examination, giving evidences in the Courts of Law u/s 293 of Cr. PC, providing guidance to the junior scientific staff for case analysis, R&D activities on Forensic Activities and imparting training in their respective field of forensic specialization to the trainees from different investigating agencies / forensic science labs and other organizations.

Head Quarters : Head Quarter is at New Delhi with Laboratories at Kolkata, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Guwahati & Pune. In connection with performing his duties, the officer may be required to serve in any part of India.

Essential :

(A) UPSC Pathologist Educational Qualification 2016 :

  1. A recognized Medical Qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule ( Other than licentiate qualifications ) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. UPSC Pathologist Duties 2016 :

  1. Responsible for Examination of body fluids, including blood, urine, bone marrow, analysis of samples of tissue & cells and their proper record.
  2. Work in research and teaching positions.
  3. Perform other duties for smooth functioning of Institute.
