8. One Professor (Technical) (Computer Science & Engineering) in Ambedkar Institute of Technology under Department of Training and Technical Education.

The post is also suitable for Physically Handicapped persons with Locomotor Disability and Hearing Impairment. Rs.16,400-22400 (T.E. Rs.34686). 50 yrs. EQ : Edu : A. (i) Ph.D Degree with first class degree at Bachelors' or Masters' level in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology from a recognized University or equivalent, ii) 10 years teaching experience in Teaching/Industry/Research out of which 5 years must be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent. OR B. Candidates from Industry/Profession with Masters' Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology and Professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D Degree and with 10 years' Industrial/Professional experience, out of which at least 5 years should be at senior level comparable to that of Assistant Professor would also be eligible.

Note: I: If a class/ division is not awarded at B.E./ B. Tech / ME / M. Tech/Equivalent degree, a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to 1st class/division. If a grade point system is adopted, CGPA will be converted to equivalent marks and minimum CGPA shall be 6.75 in the scale of 10.

Note: II: In the discipline of Computer Science and Engineering/ Technology, in lieu of the First class at Bachelor's and/or Masters' level in the appropriate branch, a First class Master's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering/Technology together with a First Class Bachelor's Degree in any area of Engineering/Technology will be acceptable.

9. One Lecturer (Technical) in Electrical Engineering in Ambedkar Institute of Technology under Department of Training & Technical Education. Rs.8000-13500 (T.E. Rs.16, 920). 35 yrs. EQ: A. Edu: First class Bachelor's Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology from a recognized University or equivalent. OR First Class Master's Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology from a recognized University or equivalent. Note: Same as Note: l: in Item No. 8 above.

UPSC Instructions:

1. Age limits as on 31.01.2008. The age limit shown against S. Nos.1&6is relaxed age limit for OBC candidates. The age limit shown against S.No.7 is relaxed age limit for SC candidates. In S. No. 4 the relaxed age limit for SC & OBC candidates is given separately. The age limit shown against all other S. Nos. is normal age limit and only in these cases age is relaxable for SC / ST candidates upto 5 years and upto 3 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them.
2. Age is relaxable for certain other categories.
3. Quals are relaxable at Commission's discretion.
4. Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview where number of applications received is large the Commission will short list the candidates to be called for interview
5. Note: Candidates with disabilities [as indicated against ltem(s)] can apply to the respective posts even if the post is not reserved for them. However, such candidates will be considered for selection to such posts by general standard of merit. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of relevant disability shall alone be eligible for the benefit of reservation and other relaxations as permissible under the rules.
