Note:
1. The post is temporary but likely to become permanent. The number of vacancies is subject to change as per administrative requirement.
2. Place of duty:-Any where within as well as outside the Territory of India.
3. Eligibility conditions for above post are as under:
(A). Age:
- 18 to 23 year ( Cut off date for age will be 1st August,2007)
- Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.
(B). Five years of additional age relaxation will be granted to the children and dependent family members of those killed in the riots (1984 riots and 2002 communal riots of Gujarat) in addition to existing Govt. orders.
Children mean: (a) daughter (including adopted daughter).
Dependent family members mean: (a) spouse; or (b) children; or (c) sister in the case of unmarried Govt. servant who was wholly dependent on the Govt. Servant at the time of his killing in the riot.
Children and dependent family members of those killed in the riots (1984 riots and 2002 communal riots of Gujarat) will produce a certificate from the concerned District Collectors.
A candidate can apply against vacancies in any State/UTs if she fulfills other conditions, however, to avail of the present relaxation she has to produce the certificate from the District, wherein the victim was killed.
Note: This advertisement pertains to recruitment of female CT (GD), therefore, female children and dependent female family members of riot victims may only apply.
(C). Educational qualification:
Matriculation or 10th Pass from a recognized board/university.
(D). Physical Standards

(E). Eye sight
The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses. They should possess high colour vision and should be free from colour blindness.
(F). General
Candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
They should conform to the medical standards prescribed by the Force and should be declared fit by the Medical Officers of SSB. The medical certificate obtained from elsewhere will not be entertained. In the event of any doubt or dispute decision of SSB shall be final.
