UPSC Veterinary Officer 2013 Duties : To look after the health of cattle and diagnose disease and treat them. To adopt preventive measure against contagious and infectious disease. Carry out routine post mortem and common lab tests for diagnosis.

4. One Senior Instructor ( Electrical ) in Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training, Kochi, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture. The post is unreserved.

Qualifications : Essential :

A. Educational : B.E. or B. Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a recognised University; and

UPSC Senior Instructor 2013 Duties : To function as Head of Electrical Engineering Section. Engaging class in Electrical Technology and related subjects and supervision of the work of staff of the electrical section. Preparation of study materials on the subject. Assisting the Mechanical Marine Engineer for maintenance of the training vessel. Undertake fishing cruise as shore officer participant along with institutional / post-institutional trainees on board the fishing vessel for imparting practical training. 5. One Refrigeration Engineer in National Institute of Fisheries Post Harvest Technology and Training, Kochi, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture. The post is exclusively reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates.

  1. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.
  2. About 3 years experience in Refrigeration.

UPSC Refrigeration Engineer 2013 Duties : The Refrigeration Engineer is in direct charge of the running and maintenance of the Ice Plant, tunnel freezer, contact freezer, frozen and cold storages, freezing units of fish stalls and air-conditioning system in the various wings. He also supervises the maintenance and managements of costly machineries of the plant which work non-stop for 24 hours and 365 days in a year. In fact the whole work of the project centers around Ice Plant and Freezing Plant for the maintenance of which he is solely responsible. He is also in direct charge of the training course for refrigeration technicians conducted at the office. He also has to extend consultancy services in refrigeration related works.

A. Educational :

A recognized medical qualification included in the first or the second schedule or part II of the third schedule ( other than licentiate qualifications ) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. The candidates holding DNB qualifications would need to get their qualification verified by NBE as to whether it is as per the requirement of the Gazette notification No.MCI-12( 2 ) / 2010-Med.Misc.dated 11.6.2012 and produce such verification certificate at the time of interview.

B. Experience : At least three years’ teaching experience in the concerned specialty ( Forensic Medicine ) as Lecturer / Tutor / Registrar / Demonstrator / Senior Resident after the requisite Post graduate degree qualification.

Note : Teaching experience in any other post like the post of General Duty Medical Officer / Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to teaching posts.

UPSC Assistant Professor 2013 Duties : To impart theoretical and practical instructions to under-graduate / post graduate medical students. To conduct and guide research work in the specialty i.e. ( Forensic Medicine ). To render patient care in the specialty i.e.( Forensic Medicine ). Any other duties that may be assigned by the authorities from time to time.

Any Other Conditions : The other conditions of service will be laid down in the CHS Rules, 1996, and other rules in force from time to time in particular :

  1. Private practice of any kind what so ever shall not be allowed including any consultation and laboratory practice.

Three years’ experience in the concerned specialty ( Public Health ) after obtaining the post graduate degree or five years’ experience in the concerned specialty after obtaining the post graduate diploma.

UPSC Specialist Grade – II 2013 Desirable : DMCW / DHE.

UPSC Specialist Grade – II 2013 Duties : To conduct studies and field investigations in the control of communicable disease. To assist in the Training programmes undertaken by the institutions. Any other duties that may be assigned by the authorities from time to time.

Any Other Conditions : Same as in Item No. 14 above.

16. Twelve Assistant Professor ( Surgery ) in Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Of the twelve posts, six posts are reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates and remaining six posts are unreserved.

Qualifications : Essential :

A. Educational :

  1. A recognized medical qualification included in the first or the second schedule or part II of the third schedule ( other than licentiate qualifications ) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section ( 3 ) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  2. Post Graduate degree qualification in the concerned specialty i.e. M S.( Surgery ), M.S. ( General Surgery ), Specialty Board of Surgery ( USA ) FRCS or equivalent. The candidates holding DNB qualifications would need to get their qualification verified by NBE as to whether it is as per the requirement of the Gazette notification No.MCI-12( 2 ) / 2010-Med.Misc.dated 11.6.2012 and produce such verification certificate at the time of interview.

B. Experience : At least three years’ teaching experience in the concerned specialty ( Surgery ) as Lecturer / Tutor / Registrar / Demonstrator / Senior Resident after the requisite Post graduate degree qualification.

Note : Teaching experience in any other post like the post of General Duty Medical Officer / Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to teaching posts.

UPSC Assistant Professor 2013 Duties : To impart theoretical and practical instructions to under-graduate / post graduate medical students. To conduct and guide research work in the specialty. ( Surgery ). To render patient care in the specialty. ( Surgery ). Any other duties that may be assigned by the authorities from time to time. Note, HQ and Any Other Conditions : Same as in Item No. 14 above.

17. Nine Public Prosecutor in National Investigation Agency, Ministry of Home Affairs. Of the nine posts, one post is reserved for Scheduled Castes candidates, two posts are reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates and remaining six posts are unreserved.

Qualifications : Essential :

A. Educational :

  1. Degree in Law of a recognized University.
  2. 7 years practice as an Advocate in conducting criminal cases or 7 years’ experience of State Judicial Service or Legal Department of State or Central Government.
  3. Basic knowledge of word processing on computer and internet.

B. Experience : 7 years practice as an Advocate in conducting criminal cases or 7 years’ experience of State Judicial Service or Legal Department of State or Central Government.

UPSC Public Prosecutor 2013 Duties : To deal / look after all legal matters of the NIA which will include conducting of cases in courts, legal vetting of various documents, giving legal opinions, drafting and preparation of legal correspondence, handling appeals and revisions etc.

HQ : NIA HQ, New Delhi with the liability to serve at NIA Branch Offices at Lucknow, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kochi.

18. Two Research Officer ( Social Studies ) in Office of the Registrar General, India, Ministry of Home Affairs. Of the two posts, one post is reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates and remaining one post is unreserved.

Qualifications : Essential :

A. Educational : Master’s degree in Anthropology ( with specialization in Cultural or Social Anthropology ) or Sociology from a recognized University.

B. Experience : Three years’ experience of Social Research on Village and Community Studies with special reference to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes.

UPSC Research Officer 2013 Desirable : Doctorate degree in Anthropology ( with specialization in Cultural or Social Anthropology ) or Sociology from a recognized university.

UPSC Research Officer 2013 Duties : To assist Senior Research Officers ( SS ) in planning and implementation of action plan of the activities of Social Studies Division concerning ethnographic studies / surveys on Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, socio-economic surveys on villages and towns, urban frame, DCHBs, tabulation and analysis of field data and drafting of study reports. To finalize All-India Town Directory including scrutiny of town level in formation. To supervise collection / compilation of ethnographic information of castes and tribes ( with reference to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes ) from various journals, books etc. for the purpose of examination of the proposals concerning revision of State-wise SCs & STs lists received from the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Ministry of Tribal Affairs. To examine new / unclassifiable Census returns on SCs, STs and religions reported in Census Schedules and to suggest appropriate classification under SCs or STs categories, main religions, respectively based on published ethnographic information. To supervise the compilation and supply of Census data on SCs and STs as per the requirements.

HQ : Delhi with liability to serve any-where in India.

Any Other Conditions : The posts involve extensive touring all over India.

19. Three Junior Central Government Advocate in Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice. The posts are unreserved. The posts are suitable for Physically Challenged Persons with disability viz. Hearing Impairment i.e. Partially Deaf ( PD ) or Orthopaedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy i.e. Both Legs Affected but not arms ( BL ) or One Arm Affected ( Right or Left ) ( OA ).

Qualifications : Essential :

A. Educational :

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Law of a recognized university or equivalent.
  2. Should be an Advocate as defined in the Advocates Act, 1961 ( 25 of 1961 ) with three years experience of litigation work in Courts.
  3. Must be entitled to act as an Advocate on the Original as well as Appellate Side of the High Court of Calcutta or Bombay or Delhi or Madras or Bangalore, as the case may be.

B. Experience : Three years experience of litigation work in courts.

UPSC Junior Central Government Advocate 2013 Desirable : One year’s experience of practice in a High Court.

UPSC Junior Central Government Advocate 2013 Duties : To conduct Litigation in High Courts. As assigned.

HQ : Kolkata, liable to serve any-where in India.

20. Two Senior Manager ( Printing & Stationery ) in Ministry of Railways. The posts are unreserved. Of the two posts, one post is reserved for Physically Challenged Persons with disability viz. Orthopaedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy i.e. One Leg Affected ( Right or Left ) ( OL ) or One Arm Affected ( Right or Left ) ( OA ). UPSC Senior Manager 2013 Duties : To discharge as administrative incharge of the Printing Presses of the Railways which include Printing and supply of money value, safety, vital, general books and forms. Procurement, stocking and supply of general stationery. To deal with personal matters of staff. Maintenance & upkeep of Printing and allied machines.

HQ : Shakur Basti ( Delhi ), Royapuram and Chennai with liability to serve anywhere on Indian Railways.
