Name of the SSC Post & Department : Wildlife Inspector in Wildlife Crime Control Bureau, Ministry of Environment and Forests.

SSC Vacancy : 01-UR (The post is identified not suitable for PH candidates)

Pay Scale for Wildlife Inspector : Rupee 9300-34800/-with Grade Pay of Rupee 4200/- (Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted, Non Ministerial).

Age Limit for SSC Wildlife Inspector : Not exceeding 30 years (Relaxable by 05 years for Central Government Civilian servants in accordance with instructions issued by the Central Government.)

Essential Qualification for Wildlife Inspector :

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Zoology as a subject of a recognized University or equivalent.

2. 3 years experience in Wildlife management.

Wildlife Inspector Desirable Qualification : Training in Wildlife Management.

Initial Posting : Cochin in Kerala with AISL.

Job Requirement :

1. Maintenance of office files connected with Exports & Import policy, wildlife protection Act, Policy, Cites Regulation Etc.

2. Maintenance of office documents such as LPC & CITES certificates.

3. Pre-shipment examination –Detection and booking of offence.

4. Collecting Intelligence regarding wildlife offences.

5. Scrutinising the monthly returns.

6. Office routine works and other works assigned by the Regional Deputy Director.

7. Assistance to Deputy Director in important Government policy and Cites regulation, etc.

Category No.2/BG :

Name of the SSC Post & Department : Instructor (Marine Engineering) in Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training (CIFNET), Ministry of Agriculture.

Vacancy in SSC : 01-UR (The post is identified not suitable for PH candidates)

Pay Scale for Instructor : Rupee 9300-34800/- with Grade Pay of Rupee 4200/- (General Central Service Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted).

SSC Age Limit for Instructor :

Not exceeding 35 years (Relaxable by 05 years for Central Government Civilian servants and Departmental Candidates in accordance with instructions issued by the Central Government.)

Essential Qualification :

A.

  • Degree in Mechanical, Automobile or Marine Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • One year’s experience of Diesel Engines. (Or)

B.

  • Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile or Marine Engineering from a recognized Institution or equivalent.
  • 3 year’s practical experience of handling machines in a recognized workshop. (qualifications relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC / SSC in case of candidates otherwise well qualified).

Desirable Qualification : Nil

Initial Posting : Cochin in Kerala with AISL.

Job Requirement :

Engaging classes for the various training programme in workshop technology, Assisting the Chief Instructor (Marine Engineering), Senior Instructor (Marine Engineering) and the Mechanical Marine Engineer in imparting training and in the functioning of marine Engineering workshop, and vessel maintenance.

Undertake fishing cruise as shore officer participant alongwith institutional / post-institutional trainees on board the fishing vessel for imparting practical training. Any other duties assigned by the superiors.

Name of the Post & Department : Senior Scientific Assistant – III in Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage, Ministry of Agriculture.

Senior Scientific Assistant Vacancy : 02-UR & 01-OBC (The posts are identified not suitable for PH candidates)

Pay Scale for Senior Scientific Assistant : Rupee 9300-34800/- with Grade Pay of Rupee 4200/- (General Central Service, Group ‘C’ (Non- Gazetted), Non Ministerial, Non-technical).

Age Limit for Senior Scientific Assistant :

18-27 years (Relaxable by 08 years for Central Government Civilian servants in accordance with instructions issued by the Central Government. Relaxable upto 40 years for Departmental candidates)

Essential Qualification : BSc. Agriculture

Initial Posting : Bangalore & Mangalore in Karnataka and Cochin in Kerala with AISL.

Job Requirement :

1. To conduct and assist in conducting the inspection of imported plants / plant materials to enforce the DIP Act 1914 and PFS Order 1989 issued there under, with a view to preclude the entry of exotic pests, disease, nematodes, weeds, virus, bacteria, mites etc.

2. To undertake and assist in undertaking the export certification of plants and plant materials for issuance of Phytosanitary Certificate in pursuance to International Plant Protection Convention 1951 of FAC.

3. To identify / confirm and assist in identification / confirmation of pests, diseases, weeds, nemadtodes, mites, virus, bacteria in the laboratory.

4. To assist in formulating the global technical information on pests, diseases, nematodes, treatment, etc., also in developing Pest Risk Analysis based on the available technical literature in India as well as abroad.

5. To undertake and assist in undertaking the treatment of imported/exportable plants/ plants materials pertaining to disinfection / disinfestation.

6. To handle and assist in operating high-tech laboratory equipments like ELISA, X-Ray machine, Ultracentrafuse, etc.

7. To undertake and assist in undertaking various laboratory investigations like Blotter Test, Nematode Detection Test, Incubation Test and also Grow-out Test in the glass house / polyhouse / mesh house.

Responsibilities likely to be assigned to SSA-III in the near future.

1. To assist in the Laboratory investigations with Electron microscope and other softwares.

2. To assist in the development of international standards to comply with the provisions of World Trade Organisation and Sanitary & Phytosanitary measures / International Plant Protection Convention.
