Recruitment for the post of Teacher Educator ( post code – 112/TE ) under School & Mass Education Department, Government of Odisha.

Important :

  1. Online application form will be available from 03.10.2015 till 02.11.2015 by 11:59 P.M.
  2. The candidates who will qualify in the written examination shall have to submit the DAF as per clause 7 of the advertisement at the time of certificate verification in the office of the Commission.

Online Applications are invited by using website www.ossc.gov.in for the Teacher Educator Examination 2015 for selection of candidates for recruitment to 143 post of Teacher Educator, 10 posts of Art Instructor & 33 posts of Physical Education Instructor in different ETEls ( Elementary Teacher Education Institutions ) and BITEs ( Block Institutions of Teacher Education ) under School & Mass Education Department Govt. of Odisha. The posts will be initially on contractual basis as per Odisha Group B posts ( Contractual Appointment ) Rules, 2013 in the Pay Band 2 i.e. Rupee9300 – 34800/- with Grade Pay Rupee4200/-.

Caution 1 : The candidates applying for the post must go through the advertisement and ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria / conditions prescribed for the post / examination as laid down in this advertisement. Admission of a candidate for the written examination & certificate verification shall be provisional and would be on the basis of the information furnished by him / her in the online application. If at any stage of recruitment or thereafter, it is found that any information furnished by the candidate in his / her application is false / incorrect or the candidate has suppressed any relevant information or the candidate otherwise does not satisfy the eligibility criteria for the post, his / her candidature will be cancelled forthwith.

2. The candidates about two times of vacancy advertised in each category in each stream shall be shortlisted after the written examination in order of merit for verification of original certificates from H.S.C. to Post Graduation and Pass certificate in M.Ed. where the candidates shall be required to submit the documents such as OSSC copy duly signed the declaration by the applicant, Treasury Challan ( Other than SC, ST & PWD category candidates ) and self attested xerox copy of the documents & certificates as per clause 7 of this advertisement for verification.

3. Candidates as per his / her qualification at Master Degree level may opt for only one type of the post in any discipline i.e. for the post of Teacher Educator in Fundamental courses or in Pedagogy courses such as Science ( Physics / Chemistry / Botany / Zoology / Computer Science ) / Mathematics / History / Geography / Economics / Pol. Science / Odia / English / Hindi / Sanskrit or for Physical Education Instructor / Art Instructor.

1. How to Apply for OSSC Recruitment Exam 2015 :

1. a. The aspirants are required to fill in the online application form prescribed for the post in the website of the Odisha Public Service Commission. The applicants other than the category of S.C., S.T. & PWD are required to deposit examination fee of Rupee100/- either through online or offline mode using the Treasury Portal or by the conventional mode in the Head of Account-”0051-PSC-104-UPSC/SSC-Examination Fees-0047-Fees collected for conducting examinations-02041-Examination Fees” as detailed in the clause 6 of this advertisement before proceeding to fill in the online application for the post.

1. b. Candidates are required to visit the website of the Odisha Public Service Commission www.ossc.gov.in and then required to click the tab ‘online application’ in the home page of the website, the posts advertised for online application and detailed instructions for submitting the application online are displayed on the computer screen. These instructions along with the instructions along with the instructions in this advertisement are to be read carefully before proceeding to fill up the application form. The application form can be generated by clicking on ‘apply online’ after selecting the post. Here the system will ask to furnish the 10th / HSC Examination Roll number, name of the Board & Year of passing and whether annual or supplementary. The applicant should furnish the correct information including the roll numbers as mentioned in the H.S.C. / Matriculation Certificate and other informations so as to validate the same and to proceed to next step. Candidates should ensure that correct information relating to passing the 10th standard examination are furnished. Furnishing any wrong / incorrect information in the online application form may lead to rejection of the application.

1.c. After validating the required information the Blank Application Form specific for the particular post will be generated on the screen and the candidate has to fill the required details against the various items in the Form without leaving any item blank. The candidate has to upload the scanned image of his / her recent passport size photograph and scanned image of his / her full signature in the online application form. The uploaded photograph and full signature must be clearly identifiable / visible, otherwise the application is liable to be rejected and no correspondence on this count will be entertained. The filled in application form can be submitted by clicking on the ‘submit button’.

Before submitting the online application the applicant must re-check the information filled in and ensure that the information provided and the scanned signature and scanned photographs are clearly identifiable and visible and then click the ‘submit button’. After the form is successfully submitted, a user ID and a password are generated on the screen, which the applicant has to note down for his / her future use in accessing the system to find out the status of the application. The candidate has to click on the button ‘print application form’ to generate the filled in application form. This time the application form is generated by the system with a unique bar code and bar code number printed on the format, is the index number of the application. If any defect is noticed in the application form submitted, the applicant can edit the application form by accessing the ‘candidate’s log in’ within 48 hours of clicking the ‘submit button’. Editing of the application will not be possible after 48 hours.

1.d. The candidate has to take two printed copies of the application, one OSSC copy and the other the applicant’s copy. The OSSC copy along with the original copy of the Treasury Challan must be kept safely for future use. Candidates, who will qualify in the written examination shall have to submit the hard copy of the application form i.e. the OSSC copy duly ink signed within the appropriate box below the declaration along with original copy of the Treasury challan / e-challan ( except for SC / ST / PWD candidates ) and self attested xerox copy of the enclosures ( refer to clause 7 below ) together called the Detailed Application Form ( DAF ) at the time of certificate verification to be conducted by the Odisha Public Service Commission.

1.e. Admission of candidates to the written examination is provisional and subject to verification of original certificate(s) / document(s) etc at the time of certificate verification to be conducted by the Odisha Public Service Commission. The candidates will be provisionally allowed to appear in the Written Examination basing on the information furnished by them in the online application. The eligibility of the candidates will be verified at the time of certificate verification after the written examination. The Odisha Public Service Commission has the right to reject the application of any candidate at any stage of the recruitment process if the candidate is found to have submitted false information in the online application or ineligible for whatsoever reason(s) it may be.

1.f. The candidate may find out the status of his / her application at different times by accessing OSSC website, clicking therein ‘online application’ tab and thereafter clicking on the candidate’s login, and providing the user ID and password. In case of any wrong entry detected by the candidate after submission of application online, he / she can get it corrected within 48 hours of submission, following the instructions therein.

1.g. Applications received incomplete or received through any mode other than online mode are liable to be summarily rejected.

2. Last Date for Receipt of OSSC Recruitment Applications 2015 :

The last date for online submission of application in response to this advertisement is 11:59 P.M. of dt. 03.11.2015. The system will be disabled from 11:59 P.M. of the said date after which the application form for this particular post will not be generated any more at the candidate’s end. The candidates are required to visit the website of the Odisha Public Service Commission, www.ossc.gov.in at regular interval for detailed information about the programme of the written examination / certificate verification, notice regarding rejection of the application, other important notices etc. and also keep track of publication of various notices relating to this recruitment to be published in the leading odia local daily news papers for information.

NB :

  1. The number of vacancies and reservation position is subject to change as per reservation policy and rules prevalent at the time of short listing and publication of result.

Science / Odia / English / Hindi / Sanskrit or for Physical Education Instructor or Art Instructor.

5. Eligibility Criteria for the OSSC Posts

5.a. Age Limit for OSSC Recruitment Posts 2015 :

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be above the age of 35 years as on 01.01.2015. Further the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC, ST, SEBC & Women candidates and by the total period of service rendered in Defence Service Personnels in case of Ex-Servicemen. The upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years in case of persons with disabilities. The in-service contractual employees with requisite qualification below 45 years as on 01.01.2015 may also apply for the post.

However, a candidate can avail only one type of relaxation in age as per rule. To be eligible, candidates not enjoying any age relaxation of upper age limit must not be born earlier than 2nd January 1980 and not later than 1st January 1994. The persons in Defence Forces having more than six months to be discharged from the forces as on the date of submission of online application form are not eligible to apply for the post.

Date of birth recorded in the High School Certificate such as Board of Secondary Education of Odisha, Cuttack / Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi / Indian Council of Secondary Education, New Delhi or equivalent Certificate issued by the concerned Board / Council will only be acceptable to the Commission.

5.b. Educational Qualification & Experience required for the Posts :

The minimum qualification for Teacher Educator in different steams, for Physical Education Instructor & Art Instructor is as follows :

5.c. General Eligibility Criteria :

A candidate in order to be eligible for the posts / appearing at the competitive examination must be :

1. Nationality : Must be a citizen of India.

2. Knowledge in Odia : He shall be able to speak, read and write Odia and

  1. must have passed HSC or equivalent examination or have acquired any other Higher Education Degree with Odia as a subject, or
  2. have Odia as a medium of examination in non-language subjects at H.S.C. or equivalent examination.

3. Marital Status : A candidate if married must not have more than one spouse living;

4. Physical Fitness : A candidate must be of good mental condition, healthy and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the discharge of this duties in the service.

6. OSSC Recruitment Examination Fee 2015 :

The candidates other than SC, ST & PWD category are required to deposit examination fee of Rupee100/-. The fees can be deposited either through online or offline mode using the Treasury Portal or by the conventional mode of deposit in the Treasury.

1. * In case of e-payment the applicant is required to log on to www.odishatreasury.gov.in or access through the link available in the OSSC portal.

* She / He will click on the option of e-payment and choose the option Other Deposit.

* The details of the challan will be filled in by the applicant.

* She / He will choose the option for marking the payment either through online or over the Bank counter mode of payment. In either case on submission of valid information, a challan reference id will be generated.

2. * For online payment, the payment will be made through Net Banking of the designed banks or through Debit Card. On successful payment, an e-Challan will be generated from the Treasury portal.

3. * For over the Bank counter mode of deposit, the applicant will choose any designated bank provided in the Treasury Portal and then proceed to the bank branch where offline payment of Government receipt is accepted. ( The list of Bank branches for marking offline payment is available at the Treasury Portal ).

* On receipt of the payment, the depositor copy of the challan form will be handed over to the depositor by the Bank.

* The challan will be deposited under the “Head of Account-0051-PSC-104-UPSC/SSC-Examination Fees-0047-Fees collected for conducting examinations-02041-Examination Fees”.

* The applicant will fill in the challan reference ID and date in the online application.

4. * The candidate has also the option to deposit the fee through the conventional mode into the Treasury under the Head of Account-”0051-PSC-104-UPSC/SSC-Examination Fees-0047-Fees collected for conducting examinations-02041-Examination Fees”. In this case the candidate has to mention the Treasury Challan No. and date in the online application.

* Non indication of correct and valid treasury chalan no., date, and name of the Treasury in the application form relating to examination fees deposited through offline mode will liable for rejection of the application.

* ST and SC candidates are exempted from paying examination fee.
