Scheme of Examination for Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) (Post codes 114/07 to 142/07) The examination will be conducted in two parts i.e. Preliminary Examination followed by
Main Examination given as under:-

Preliminary Examination
Preliminary Examination will be Objective type (multiple choice) which will consist of the following components:-
Note:
1. The Questions under Section (A) will be generally of Senior Secondary to Degree level.
2. Question in section (A) will be bilingual in Hindi & English. For Section (B) the questions will also be bilingual in Hindi & English except for the post of PGT (Languages) i.e. Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Punjabi & Urdu which would be in the concerned language only.
3. There will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. No marks shall be awarded for the un-attempted questions. The details of Section (A) is as under:-
Questions will be designed to test the candidate’s General Awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current affairs and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific respect as may be expected of an educated person.
Will include questions relating to Indian Society, Socio-Economic and Development Issues, Human Rights, Social Conflicts, Disabilities, Geo-Cultural aspects in Education. It will also include questions on India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Geography, Economics, Polity and Constitution, Art & Culture, General Science and Scientific Research, National / International Organizations / Institutions. The syllabus for General Intelligence includes questions of both verbal and non-verbal types.
Test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship, concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series etc. The test also includes questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships, arithmetical computations and other analytical functions. For the test Arithmetical Abilities will cover Number System including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc. This section will also include questions on Communication Skills, Education Psychology & Technology, Teaching and Learning Processes and related topics.
Main Examination
Main Examination will consist of Descriptive type Questions on the concerned subject of 200 marks and to be answered in 2 ½ hours in the space provided in the Question-Answer Booklet.
Preliminary Examination (Objective type) will be of qualifying nature for shortlisting the candidates for appearing in Main Examination (Descriptive Type). Final merit list of candidates will be prepared on the basis of performance of candidates (marks secured) in the Main Examination (Descriptive Type) only.
Scheme of Examination for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) (Post codes 143/07 to 162/07)
The examination will be conducted in two parts i.e. Preliminary Examination followed by Main Examination given as under:-

Preliminary Examination
Preliminary Examination will be Objective type (multiple choice) which will consist of the following components:-

Note:
1. Question in (i) of section (A) will be bilingual in Hindi & English where as in (ii) of Section (A) will be in Hindi language only. For Section (B) the questions will also be bilingual in Hindi & English except for the post of TGT (Languages) i.e. Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Punjabi & Urdu which would be in the language concerned only.

The test Arithmetical Ability will cover Number System including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc. This section will also include Educational Psychology / Technology, Teaching and Learning Processes and related topics. This section will also include questions on testing of candidate’s understanding of Hindi Language, its Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms and its correct usage etc
Main Examination
Main Examination will consist of Descriptive type Questions on the concerned subjects of 200 marks to be answered in 2 ½ hours in the space provided in the Question Answer Booklet.
Preliminary Examination (Objective type) will be of qualifying nature for shortlisting the candidates for appearing in Main Examination (Descriptive Type). Final Psychology / Technology, Communication skill, Teaching and Learning Processes and related topics.
(ii) Test of Hindi Language and Comprehension 30 30
(B) Objective type multiple choice questions on Concerned Subject as per the qualification prescribed for the post 100 100 TOTAL 200 200 merit list of candidates will be prepared on the basis of performance of candidates (marks secured) in the Main Examination (Descriptive Type) only.
