General Instructions and Procedure for Submission of Application form opening & Closing Date, Timing, Place for submission of Application
1. The opening date for receipt of application is 30-10-2006 and the closing date is 15-11-2006 between 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on all working days and Saturday (except Sunday & Gazetted Holidays). Application received before the opening date and after the closing date will not be entertained. The Board will not be responsible for any postal delay.
2. The application forms duly filled up alongwith photocopies of relevant documents/ certificates duly attested by a Gazetted Officer and the IPO should be handed over at the Reception counters (on ground floor) in UTCS Building, Vishwas Nagar, Shahdara, Delhi from 30-10-2006 to 15-11-2006 on all working days and Saturday (except Sunday & Gazetted Holidays) from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. The application can also be sent by Post addressed to the Secretary, Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board, 3rd Floor, UTCS Building, Vishwas Nagar, Shahdara, Delhi-110032 alongwith a self addressed envelope of size 12?25 cms. with postage of Rs.6/- affixed and Post Card (not envelope) bearing postal stamp of Rs.3/- to reach the Board on or before 15-11-2006 by 5.00 p.m. for issuing acknowledgement to the candidates.
3. The applications delivered at the counter would be acknowledged by the Agent on behalf of the Board on the spot and an ID Number will be given for each application. Similarly, every application sent by post will also be acknowledged by the Agency on behalf of the Board showing the ID No. of the application. In case any applicant does not receive the acknowledgement within 30 days of the last date of receipt of application, the candidate should contact/report to the Board immediately alongwith necessary proof of dispatch of application to the Board. The ID Number allotted should be quoted in all future correspondence.
Fee & Mode of payment
4. Application must be accompanied by a crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) of Rs.50/- payable to ‘The Secretary, Delhi subordinate Services Selection Board’ payable at Krishna Nagar, Head Post Office, Delhi-110051. No other form of payment will be accepted by the Board. The Postal Order should have been issued on or after the date of issue of this advertisement and not later than the closing date for receipt of application, Fees once paid cannot be refunded.
5. No fee for applicants belonging to SC & ST will be payable, subject to the submission of relevant documentary evidence duly attested. The candidates seeking benefits of fee concession should enclose the duly attested copies of relevant certificates in support of their claim, otherwise the application with be summarily rejected.
6. The candidates should write his/her name and address in capital letters at the space provided in IPO.
Instructions for filling up the Application Form
7. The application form as per the format given in Section-D should be photocopied or typed out or computer printed or printed on plain white paper of A-4 size giving adequate space for each row and column. Newspaper cutting should not be used as application form. In case the space in the format is insufficient for furnishing full details in respect of item No. 13 (Educational and Professional qualification) and item No.14 (Details of Employment), an additional sheet may be added for furnishing these details only.
8. The application should be filled up by the candidate in his/her own handwriting using Blue or Black ball pen only.
9. Application may be filled in Hindi or English. No other language will be accepted by the Board. Applications filled in other languages will be summarily rejected.
10. The candidate must write his/her Name, Father’s/ Husband’s name and Date of Birth as it appears in the Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate or equivalent Certificate. If the candidate has changed his/her name after matriculation, necessary documentary proof should also be attached.
11. All applicable columns must be filled. No applicable column should be left black, Incomplete application will be summarily rejected.
12. No traveling allowance or other expenses in connection with the submission of application and appearing in the examination will be paid to the applicants/candidates.
Eligibility conditions
13. The educational Qualification, age, experience etc. as stipulated in Section-A shall be determined with reference to the closing date of receipt of applications i.e. 15-11-2006.
14. The candidate must be a citizen of India.
15. In respect of abovesaid posts, the physical requirement and the category as given above, in the advertisement shall be determined & selections be made in accordance with the instructions/ orders, issued from time to time by the Competent/ Notified Authorities.
16. A candidate must be in good mental & physical health and free from any physical defect, likely to interfere with the efficient discharge of duties. A candidate after such medical examination as may be prescribed by the component authority, if found not to satisfy those requirements, will not be appointed, Only such candidates as are likely to be considered for appointment will be medically examined.
Reservation Benefits
17. Reservations benefits will be available to the candidates in accordance with the instructions/ orders/ circulars, issued from time to time by the Competent/ Notified Authorities.
18. Important: Candidates who wish to be considered against vacancies reserved/to seek age relaxation, must submit duly attested copies of relevant certificates issued by competent/ notified authority (in prescribed format) alongwith their application, otherwise, their claim for SC/ST/OBC category will not be entertained and their applications will be considered as if same are from General (UR) category candidates.
Age Relaxation
19. Candidate belonging to SC/ST category are eligible for age relaxation upto a maximum of 05 years and candidates belonging to OBC upto a maximum of 3 years. Candidates belonging to categories such as Govt. Servants are eligible for age relaxation as per the orders of the Govt. of India in force. Applicants claiming age relaxation should enclose the duly attested copies of necessary documents in support of such claim.
Documents to be attached with Application form
20. All candidates must ensure the following while attaching documents alongwith the application Form:
(i) All Copies of certificates/ Documents (Age certificate, Educational Qualification certificates/ Marksheets, Community/ Category Certificate, / Govt. Employee Certificate submitted alongwith the application must be duly attested by a Gazetted officer.
(ii) If the above documents are not submitted alongwith the application, the application will not be received at the counter. This is without projudice to detailed examination for determining eligibility of his/her candidature for appearing in the examination. If at any stage of selection/ recruitment process the application is found to be incomplete, it will be summarily rejected and no request for its revival will be considered.
(iii) In case, the application is being submitted by Post, self addressed post card bearing Postal Stamp of Rs.3/- for issue of acknowledgement to the candidate be sent. The candidate must write Advertisement No., Name of the Post and Post Code Number on the post card.
(iv) Application Form should be duly signed by the candidate. Incomplete or unsigned applications or application without photograph/fee or late applications will be rejected summarily.
