Staff Nurse – 8(UR-4, OBC-2 & SC-2) (including Female-06 & Male-02), Essential Qualifications: (1) Matriculation or equivalent from recognized University/Board. (2) A-Grade certificate in Nursing from a recognized institution. (3) Should be able to speak in Hindustani fluently., Desirable qualifications (1) Certificate in Mid-wifery. (2) Knowledge of Hindi. Pay Scale-5000-150-8000. Age – 18-25 yrs. (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/ Govt. servants as per instructions/orders issued by Central Government).
Applicants are advised to Note:
(1) Applications received before the opening date and after closing date shall not be entertained by the Board and such application shall be summarily rejected without any further notice to the candidate/applicant.
(2) A fee amount of Rs.50/- (Rupees Fifty) in the shape of Indian Postal Order only shall be payable for each application for Group – C post. (except for candidates belonging to SC/ST) at Head P.O. Krishna Nagar. No other form of payment will be accepted by the Board.
(3) Candidates are required to submit the following documents along with their Application Form duly attested by a Gazetted Officer:
Attested copies of Matriculation / Secondary Certificate or equivalent showing proof of age.
Attested copies of documents/ certificates in support of claim of educational qualifications (copies of year wise marksheets from Matriculation onwards)/ experience/ age –relaxation etc.
Attested copies of Caste/Community/ Category Certificate/ Govt. Employee Certificate, issued by notified/competent authorities, if claiming benefit under any of the above categories.
The eligible Govt. servants are advised to submit their application directly to the Board under intimation to their H.O.O./ H.O.D.
A self addressed envelope (size-12 ? 25 cms.) with postage stamp of Rs.6/- affixed and a self addressed post card (for acknowledgement) with postage stamp of Rs.3/- affixed shall be enclosed alongwith the application mentioning the details of Advertisement number, Name of post, Post Code etc. (if application is sent by post).
(4) The number of vacancies is provisional and is subject to change (increase or decrease).
(5) The Educational qualification, age, experience etc. as stipulated above shall be determined from the closing date of receipt of applications i.e. 15-11-2006

Paper – II (Main Examination)
Paper – II will consist of Descriptive type Questions of 200 marks and to be answered in 2 ½ hours. Paper-II will include descriptive type questions on the subject concerned as per the qualification prescribed for the post. The questions in Paper – II will be bilingual i.e. Hindi & English.
Syllabus for Paper – I, Section A
General Awareness: Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s General Awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matter of everyday observation and development in science & technology as may be expected of an educated person.
General Intelligence & Numerical Ability: The syllabus for General Intelligence includes questions of both verbal and non-verbal types. Test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship, concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series etc.

Note:
1. In Paper-II, the candidates will have to write the answers either in Hindi or English at the space provided on the Questions Booklet itself. The medium of writing the answers must be specified on the Questions Booklet at the space provided. They will not be given any additional answer sheets.
2. Paper-II (Descriptive Paper) will be evaluated in respect of only those candidates who qualify in Paper-I (Objective type paper) at the minimum standard which may be decided by the Board at its discretion.
3. The merit list will be prepared based on performance in both Paper-I & Paper-II papers taken together.
