Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board General Instructions
General Instructions for candidates:
1. The questions will be bilingual in Hindi & English wherever necessary i.e. except the language posts.
2. In Part - II (Main Examination), the candidates will have to write the answers in either Hindi or English except for the post of Primary/TGT/PGT (Languages)/Lecturer etc. i.e. Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Punjabi & Urdu (whichever is applicable) for which the answers are to be given in the concerned language only, at the space provided on the Question-cum-Answer Booklet itself. The medium of writing the answers must be specified on the Question-cum-Answer Booklet at the space provided. The candidates will not be given any additional answer sheet.
3. Part - I (Preliminary Examination) will be of qualifying nature. The Question-cum-Answer Booklet of Part-Il (Main Examination) will be evaluated only for those candidates who qualify Part - I (Preliminary Examination). Final merit list of candidates will be prepared on the basis of performance of candidates (marks secured) in the Main Examination only. The candidates will have to qualify skill test at a minimum standard prescribed in the Recruitment Rules, wherever applicable.
4. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers, henceforth.
5. For candidates appearing for more than one post on a single day, special instructions will be given at examination centre for the same.
6. The minimum qualifying marks for Part I exam is 40% for General & 30% for OBC/SC/ST candidates and for Part - II 45% for General, 35% for OBC/SC/ST.
7. Admit Cards for Part - I & Part - It separately, wherever applicable, shall be dispatched to all the eligible candidates. The Board is not responsible for any postal delay/loss. If any candidate does not receive the admit cards by the date specified as above, he/she may collect the Duplicate Admit Cards from the Office of the Board, Reception Hall, FC-18, Institutional Area, Near Railway Reservation Centre. Karkardooma, Delhi 110302 between 10.00 a.m. and 05.00 p.m on the dates specified above. The candidate who comes to collect the Duplicate Admit Cards must bring with him/her the Acknowledgement Slip and/or any other proof of submitting the application form as well as proof of his/her identity. If any of the dates on which duplicate admit card is being issued happens to be a public Holiday, the counters would be opened on the next day also.
8. If any candidate appearing for the above examination finds that his/her name, reservation category, post name, post code, photo, signature missing or incorrect in his/her Admit Card, he/she should get it rectified by visiting the Office of the Board on the dates, time and venue mentioned above. Any modification in the admit card at the examination center will not be allowed.
9. If a candidate receives more than one Admit Card for same post code, either in respect of Part-I or Part-ll Exam, he/she should contact the office of the Board and get a single Admit Card issued for Part-I and Part-ll Exam separately. No later request after the above mentioned dates will be entertained. Therefore the candidates are advised to come to the office of the Board on the above date & time only.
10.Reporting time for the Candidates at the examination centre on the day of examination is between 09:00 A.M. and 10:00 A.M. for forenoon session & 01:30 PM to 2:30 PM for afternoon session. Entry to the Examination Centre will be closed at 10:00 A.M for forenoon session & 2:30 PM for afternoon session._No candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination Centre after 10:00 A.M. for forenoon session & 2:30 PM for afternoon session under any circumstances.
11. Blind candidates (VH) will have to bring their own scribe (writer) but the qualification of the scribe should be one level below the qualification prescribed for the post applied for. The qualification certificate produced by the scribe should NOT have been issued prior to 2008. A prescribed Performa "Declaration of the Scribe (Writer)" & "Declaration by the Blind candidate" in this regard will be sent to the Visually Handicapped candidates along with his Admit Card. In case of non receipt of the above Performa, the blind candidates may collect the same from the Office of the Board on any of the working days from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., one week before the date of the examination. The Declaration of the scribe & the Declaration of Blind Candidate should have to be countersigned by the designated officer of the, DSSSB. For this purpose the Blind Candidate is required to visit the office of the Board on the date of Issue of Duplicate Admit Card from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Blind ca
Candidate is required to bring his own original Visual Handicapped Certificate along with the following documents of the Scribe: (i.e.(i) Attested copy of the Identification Proof, (ii) Attested copies of Educational Qualification and (iii) Two recently taken Passport size colour photograph duly attested]. 50 minutes extra shall be given in addition to the normal time allowed of 21/2 hours.
12.Scribe will not be allowed for partially Blind candidates. However they can bring their own magnifying glasses.
13.The Board reserves the right to reject the candidature of any ineligible candidate at any stage of recruitment.
14.The candidature of the candidate to the written examination is entirely provisional and subject to the outcome of any direction/decision/ order/pronouncement of any court of law and mere issue of admit card or appearance at examination does not entitled him/her to any claim for the post.
Candidates are strictly advised not to bring mobile phones/cellular phones, books, notes, electronic watches with facility of calculation, calculators, pagers or any other communication device, bags etc. inside the Centre premises. In case any candidate is found to possess the same, he/she will be debarred from the examination and legal proceedings will be initiated.
15. If any discrepancy is found between English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu version of this advertisement/ Notice, the English version will be treated as final.
