Sub : Selection for the Post of Section Controllers in scale 5500 – 9000 ( VPC ) / Pay band 9300 – 34800 + 4200 GP ( VI ) against 75% promotional quota – Operating Department / SBC Division.
It is proposed to conduct a selection to fill up the vacancies in the category of Section Controllers in Scale 5500 – 9000 ( VPC ) / Pay band 9300 – 34800 + 4200 GP against 75% promotional.
Total Vacancies Assessed : 05 ( SC – 02, ST – 01, UR – 02 ).
In terms of Railway Boards letter No.E ( NG ) I/200/PM1/41 dated 07.08.2003 and CPO / UBL letter No.SWR/P/R/605 dated 14.08.2003 ( PBC No. 119/03 ) there is only one written test.
The volunteers from Guards, Station Masters & Trains Clerks only are hereby called for from staff who fulfill the conditions mentioned hereunder and they may submit their applications in the proforma enclosed herewith as annexure ‘B’.

b. Station Masters in scale 5500 - 9000 ( VPC ) / Pay band 9300 - 34800 + 4200 GP without minimum service are eligible.

a. Trains clerks in scale 5000 - 8000 ( VPC ) / pay band 9300 - 34800 + 4200 GP with minimum of two (2) years of service in the Grade.
b. Trains Clerks in Scale 5500 - 9000 ( VPC ) / pay band 9300 - 34800 + 4200 GP without minimum service are eligible.

The volunteers should have put in 10 years aggregate service. If considered necessary, the limit of 10 years will be relaxed to 07 years. This minimum service of 10 years is not applicable to SMs who were in scale 5500 – 9000 ( VPC ) who have been directly inducted as such from “Traffic Apprentice”.
The promotion to the post of Section Controller will be considered only after successful completion of successful completion of the prescribed training for Section Controller at ZRTI / TPJ.
If sufficient number of employees does not qualify from specific stream the qualified employees from the other stream will be considered against the unutilized vacancies of the other stream.
The syllabus for the written examination for the post of Section Controller against 75% PRQ quota is enclosed as annexure ‘A’. In accordance with extant instructions, the written examination consists of questions on official language also.
This may please be given wide publicity among all eligible staff working under your control. Willing staff fulfilling the above conditions may submit their applications in the proforma enclosed as annexure ‘B’ through their supervisory officials concerned, so as to reach this office on or before 06.05.2015.
All the applications received should be forwarded to this office in one bunch in a cover addressed to Shri. Soma Sekhara Rao S, APO / Tfc. / SBC. on or before 06.05.2015.
Those desirous of writing examination in Hindi may give their willingness, in their application.
Applications received after the target date will not be entertained.
