Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited Recruitment 2016 for Deputy General Manager, Executive Engineer, Additional Chief Engineer

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited, a Joint Venture of Government of India and Government of Karnataka, is a Special Purpose Vehicle ( SPV ) entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the Metro Rail Project in the city of Bangalore.

BMRCL invites applications from qualified and experienced personnel for appointment to key senior, middle / junior level Engineering / Management positions in the Project Wing. All appointments proposed will be on “contract basis” only.

The maximum age limit for the post of Chief Engineer is 53 years, for Additional Chief Engineer / Dy. Chief Engineer 50 years, for Executive Engineer / Manager 45 years for Assistant Executive Engineer 40 years and for Assistant Engineer / Section Engineer / Design Assistant and Cad Operator 35 years.

2.Executive Engineer
( Contracts–Systems )
2Engineering graduate in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Civil. Engineering. ( Graduate with additional Law Qualification shall be preferred. )
Post Qualification experience : Minimum 12 years post qualification experience, out of which at least 5 years experience should be in tender and contract management of large value tenders with International Funding, including preparation of tender documents, tender evaluation, contract management and arbitration. The candidate should have experience in handling large value procurement tenders of Rolling Stock through international bidding process including preparation of Technical Specification, Design Evaluation & Review, interface etc. Candidates with experience in procurement of Rolling Stock in Metro Rail Projects will be preferred.
4.Dy. Chief Engineer
( Rolling Stock )
3Engineering Graduate in Electrical / Electrical and Electronics / Mechanical Engineering.
Post Qualification experience : Minimum 15 years post qualification experience, out of which minimum 5 years experience in Rolling Stock. The candidate should have experience in handling large value procurement tenders of Rolling Stock through international bidding process including preparation of Technical Specification, Design Evaluation & Review, Inspection, Testing and Commissioning etc. Candidates with experience in procurement of Rolling Stock in Metro Rail Projects will be preferred.
5.Executive Engineer

Post qualification experience : Minimum 12 years, in case of Degree holders and 15 years in case of Diploma holders, out of which minimum 3 years experience of Rolling Stock. Post qualification experience : Minimum 15 years in case of Degree holders and 18 years in case of Diploma holders out of which minimum 5 year experience in procurement of Depot and Workshop machinery and plants. The hands on experience in handling of tenders and contracts, including the preparation of tender documents, tender evaluation and site supervision with respect to procurement of M & P. Candidates with experience in Depot works in Metro Rail Projects will be preferred.
14.Executive Engineer
( Depot Procurement )

1Engineering Graduate or Diploma in Electrical / Electrical and Electronics / Mechanical Engineering.
Post qualification experience : Minimum 12 years in case of Degree holders and 15 years in case of Diploma holders out of which minimum 3 years experience in procurement of Depot and Workshop machinery and plants. The hands on experience in handling of tenders and contracts, including the preparation of tender documents, tender evaluation and site supervision with respect to procurement of M&P. Candidates with experience in Depot works in Metro Rail Projects will be preferred.
15.Additional Chief Engineer ( E&M )1Engineering Graduate in Electrical / Electrical and Electronics / Mechanical Engineering.
Post qualification experience : Minimum 18 years post qualification experience, out of which minimum 7 years experience in E&M and building services works with hands on experience in design and planning, preparation of tender specifications / documents, tender evaluations and contract management for E&M and Building services works. Candidate with experience of E&M / TVS / ECS works in modern metro system shall be preferred.

18.Assistant Executive Engineer ( E&M )

Post qualification experience : Minimum experience of 8 years in case of degree holders and 10 years in case of Diploma holders, out of which minimum 3 years experience in E&M and building services works, including the site supervision, inspections, testing & commissioning and fire safety works. Candidate with experience of E&M / TVS / ECS works in modern metro system shall be preferred.
19.Asst. Executive Engineer ( Depot E&M )

20.Assistant Engineer ( E&M )6Engineering Graduate or diploma in Electrical / Electrical and Electronics / Mechanical Engineering.
Post qualification experience : Minimum experience of 5 years in case of degree holders and 8 years in case of Diploma holders, with hands on experience in E&M and building services works, including the site supervision, inspections, testing & commissioning and fire safety works. Candidate with experience of E&M / TVS / ECS in modern metro rail system shall be preferred.
21.Addl. Chief Engineer ( S & T )1Engineering graduate in Electrical & Electronics / Computer Science / Electronics & Communication Engineering.
Post qualification experience : Minimum 18 years of experience with minimum 7 years experience in Signalling and telecommunication system. Candidates should have experience in tender and contract management, Preparation of tender documents, evaluation and site work supervision, testing and commissioning of S&T projects. Candidates having experience of S&T works in Metro Rail Projects will be preferred.
22.Dy Chief Engineer ( Signalling )
1Degree in Electrical & Electronics / Computer Science / Electronics & Communication Engineering.
Post qualification experience : Minimum 15 years of experience with minimum 5 years experience in Signalling system. Candidates should have experience in tender and contract management, Preparation of tender documents, evaluation and site work supervision, testing and commissioning of Signalling projects. Candidates having experience of Signalling works in Metro Rail Projects will be preferred.
23.Dy Chief Engineer
( Communication )

Candidates should have experience in tender and contract management, Preparation of tender documents, evaluation and site work supervision, testing and commissioning of communication equipment. Candidates having experience in Modern Telecommunication / AFC system in Metro Rail Projects shall be preferred.
24.Executive Engineer
( Signalling )
2Engineering graduate or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics / Computer Science / Electronics & Communication Engineering.
Post qualification experience : Minimum 12 years in case of Degree holders and minimum 15 years in case of Diploma holders with minimum 3 years experience in signalling system. Candidates should have experience in tender and contract management, Preparation of tender documents, evaluation and site work supervision, testing and commissioning of Signalling projects. Candidates having experience of Modern Signalling works in Metro Rail Projects will be preferred.
25.Executive Engineer
( Communication )

Post qualification experience : Minimum 12 years in case of Degree holders and minimum 15 years in case of Diploma Holders with minimum 3 years experience in communication and AFC system. Candidates having experience in Modern Telecommunication / AFC system in Metro Rail Projects shall be preferred.
26.Asst. Executive Engineer ( Signalling )1Engineering Graduate or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics / Computer Science / Electronics & Communication Engineering.
Post qualification experience : Minimum 8 years in case of Degree holders and minimum 10 years in case of Diploma Holders with minimum 3 years experience in signalling system. Candidates having experience in Modern Telecommunication / AFC system in Metro Rail Projects shall be preferred.
29.Chief Engineer Interface1Engineering Graduate in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication Engineering. ( Post-Graduation in Construction Management / Project management is desirable ).
Post qualification experience : Minimum 22 years of experience with minimum 7 years experience of interface and co-ordination between various system works viz Rolling stock / Electrical / Signalling & Communication / civil structure / Track / Depot & Workshop of Metro Rail Project / Railway Construction Project. Candidates having worked in minimum of any one Metro Rail project in the role of Interface and co-ordination will be preferred.
30.Manager ( Operation and System interface )1Engineering Graduate or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication Engineering or any other graduation degree.
Post qualification experience : Minimum 15 years of experience in case of degree holders and 18 years experience in case of diploma holders preferably in Train operation and safety with minimum 3 years experience in interface and co-ordination between various system works viz Rolling stock / Electrical / Signalling & Communication / civil structure / Track / Depot & Workshop of Metro Rail Project / Railway Construction Project. Candidate should have good knowledge and experience of documentation in area of Station Working Rules, General Rules, Safety and CRS sanction documents in Indian Railways / Metro Project.
31.Dy. Chief Engineer/
System Design
1Engineering Graduation in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication Engineering.
Post qualification experience : Minimum experience of 15 years in designing of infrastructure project including 5 years experience in Metro Rail System. Candidates having experience of UG Metro system including the planning and designing for building / room infrastructure facility requirements for various metro related building services and other system / subsystem shall be preferred. The candidate should be well conversant with national / international codes and practices. Candidates having experience of CAD and computer design environment shall be preferred and having worked in detail designing works of metro rail projects shall be preferred.
32.EE ( System Design )2Engineering Graduation in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication Engineering or Degree in Architecture.
Post qualification experience : Minimum 12 years in designing of infrastructure project including 3 years experience in Metro Rail System. Candidates having experience of CAD and computer design environment and having worked in detail designing works of metro rail projects shall be preferred.
34.Assistant Engineer
( System Design )
2Engineering Graduation or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication Engineering or any other Engineering Degree / Diploma.
Post qualification experience : Minimum 5 year experience in case of Engineering degree holders and 8 years in case of diploma holders Candidates having experience of CAD and computer design environment shall be preferred.
35.Section Engineer / Design Assistant
2Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication Engineering with CAD certificate course.
Post qualification experience : Minimum 1 year experience in case of Engineering degree holders and 3 years in case of diploma holders.
36.Asst. Executive Engineer ( Safety )1Engineering Graduation or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication Engineering or any other graduation degree. ( Diploma / Degree in industrial safety is desirable ).
Post qualification experience : Minimum 8 years experience in Railway / Metro Rail / Construction Projects in Safety, Health & Environment. Hands on knowledge of OHAS rules and Procedure and also the accident enquiries will be desirable.

Besides the above, employees will be extended medical and personal accident insurance cover, Mobile with CUG facility, contribution to superannuation fund and conveyance allowance wherever applicable as per Rules of the Company.

II. BMRCL Deputy General Manager Contract Appointment 2016 :

  1. The Contract Appointment will be for 3 years.
  2. The contract of appointment may be terminated by either side by giving 30 days notice or by paying the contractual remuneration of one month in lieu of notice period, if the circumstances so warrant.
 

III. Conditions for BMRCL Deputy General Manager 2016 :

  1. Candidates who have been shortlisted will only be called for interview.
  2. Prescribed qualifications are the minimum requirements and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
  3. The experience is post qualification and the minimum required. Mere possession of minimum experience does not confer any right to be called for interview / selection.
  4. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other outside influence with regard to selection / appointment shall be a disqualification.
  5. Selection will be through Interview by a Committee constituted by the Competent Authority.

IV. BMRCL Deputy General Manager Selection 2016 :

  1. Candidates should submit applications in the prescribed format along with copies of all the relevant certificates, testimonials as prescribed for the post.
  2. The application of any candidate found guilty of impersonation or submitting fabricated documents or making statements, which are false or incorrect or indulging in suppression of facts, attempting to use unfair means for the purpose of recruitment, will be liable for rejection.
  3. The candidates shall have to appear for interview as and when called, at their own cost.

V. Miscellaneous :

  1. Documents in support of qualification and relevant experience shall be sent along with the application. Non-submission of documents along with the application, will lead to rejection of application at any stage during the process of recruitment.
  2. The number of vacancies indicated in this Notification is provisional and may increase or decrease depending upon the actual need. BMRCL also reserves the right to cancel the notified vacancies at its discretion and such decision will be final and binding on all.
  3. BMRCL reserves the right to assess fitness or otherwise of the candidates selected.
  4. BMRCL shall not be liable for any damage / injury / loss to the individual, if any, sustained during the entire recruitment process and journey.
