How to Apply for Railway Recruitment Board Allahabad Exam

7. RRB Examination Fees:

7.1 Candidates belonging to SC/ST & ESM are fully exempted from payment of examination fee.

7.2 The examination fee is Rs. 40/- for posts carrying a scale of upto Rs. 3050-4590 and Rs. 60/- for other higher grades posts.

7.3 The examination fees are non-refundable, and must be paid in the form of a crossed Demand Draft from Nationalised Bank preferably from SBI or Crossed Indian Postal Order (issued on or after the date of publication of this notification but before the Closing date of receipt of application) drawn in favour of "Member Secretary, Railway recruitment Board, Allahabad". The Bank Draft should be payable at "Allahabad" and IPO should be payable at "GPO Allahabad."

7.4 The candidate should write the Employment Notice No. Name of the post applied, Category number of the post and Name & Postal address of the candidate on the reverse side of Bank Draft/space provided in the Postal Order.

7.5 The particulars of the Bank Draft/IPO should be indicated in the space provided in the prescribed application form.

7.6 Remittance of examination fees any other form except Bank Draft/ IPO will not be accepted and applications not accompanied with Bank Draft/IPO of requisite amount towards examination fee/ postal charges will be summarily rejected.

8. How to Apply for Railway Recruitment Board Examination :

8.1 Candidates must apply to the Member Secretary, Railway Recruitment Board, DRM's Office Annexe Building, Nawab Yusuf Road, Allahabad, on good quality white A-4 (297x210mm) size on a single sheet of plain paper and application should be in conformity with the format given in the Employment Notice. Candidates are advised to ensure that the application is legible.

8.2 Candidates purchasing printed application form from the market should ensure that it conforms to the format prescribed in the Employment Notice.

8.3 The application should be filled up by the candidate in his/her own handwriting with ink/ball point pen (not in pencil) dated and signed Only international numerals (i.e. 1, 2, 3 etc.) should be used, the application form should be filled up in English or Hindi only, strictly observing the instructions given in this Employment Notice.

8.4 Last date for receipt of application: The complete application form must reach Member Secretary, Railway Recruitment Board, Allahabad either by ordinary post or it may be dropped in the Box kept at the RRB office on OR before the last date i.e. 11-09-2007 up 18 hours, 15 days additional time from the date of closing will be granted to the applicants residing abroad and in Andaman, Nicobar & Lakshdeep Island. Applications coming through Speed Post/ Courier/ Registered A/D will not be acknowledged. The Recruitment Board will not be responsible for any postal delay and all applications received after the last date will be rejected as time barred. Similarly after scrutiny, application found liable for rejection will summarily be rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this respect.

8.5 Photograph : The candidates should submit 2 (Two) identical copies of recent passport size photograph, one pasted on the application form in the space provided and the other firmly stitched with the application. Applicant should retain 6 identical copies of photo for future use in this selection same as pasted in Application. It should be without cap or goggles (sunglasses). Spectacles are allowed. Polaroid Photo is not acceptable. Candidates not complying with these instructions or with unclear photograph are liable to be rejected.

Note: The photograph must be recent one (not older than three month) and bear a close resemblance to the candidates otherwise he/she may be denied admission to the written examination.

8.6 The candidates should not write their name in capital letters where their signature is required in application or on photograph.

8.7 Candidates Applying For More Than One Post/ Category Should Send Separate Application For Each Of The Categories Applied For Along With All The Requisite Enclosures. Each Application Should Be Sent In A Separate Envelope. If More Than One Application Is Received In One Envelope, All The Applications Will Be Rejected.

8.8 The Employment Notice Number, Category Number, Name Of The Post Applied For And Community Should Be Superscribed In Bold Capital Letters On The Cover Containing The Application. Application Without The Requisite Information Is Liable To Be Rejected. Ex-Servicemen/Railway Employee Candidates Should Write Their Status In Bold Capital Letters In Addition To The Above.
