14. Indian Army SSC NCC Special Entry Scheme 40th Course Application Form

  1. Apply on plain paper as per the format available at official website of Rtg Dte ( downloads ).
  2. Applications for Indian Army SSC NCC Special Entry Scheme course 2016 should be forwarded to the nearest OC, NCC Unit from where NCC ‘C’ certificate has been issued.
  3. Indian Army applications 2016 for SSC NCC Special Entry Scheme of candidates serving in the Armed Forces duly counter-signed by Commanding Officer should be sent to the OC, NCC Unit from where NCC ‘C’ certificate has been issued.
  4. Applications of candidates serving in the Armed Forces duly counter-signed by Commanding Officer should be sent to the OC, NCC Unit from where NCC’ ‘C’ certificate has been issued.
  5. All NCC Units will forward the applications to DDG, NCC of the concerned State.
  6. Directorate General of Recruiting ( Rtg A ), Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence ( Army ), reserves the right to shortlist applications on the basis of grade obtained by the candidates in NCC ‘C’ certificate examination / percentage of marks in degree examinations.
  7. DDG, NCC States will process all applications for Indian Army 2016 and forward them to Dte Gen NCC will check correctness of following documents prior to forwarding them to Dte Gen of Rtg ( Rtg ‘A’ ) :
    1. Date of birth from class X Certificate.
    2. 12th class certificate and Mark sheet.
    3. Degree / Provisional degree is from a University recognised by AIU.
    4. Marks sheets of all years / semesters and ensure that candidate has minimum 50% marks in the aggregate for all three / four years and in case of final year students 50% marks in aggregate for two / three years.
    5. NCC ‘C’ Certificate with minimum ‘B’ Grading.

15. The last date for receipt of Indian Army applications 2016 is as under :

  1. Last date for receipt of Indian Army application at NCC Bn : 20 Jan 2016.
  2. Last date for receipt of Indian Army application at NCC Gp HQ : 05 Feb 2016.
  3. Last date for receipt of Indian Army application at DG NCC : 20 Feb 2016.
  4. Last date for receipt of application for Indian Army at Rtg Dte from Dte Gen NCC : 05 Mar 2016.

16. Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme Applications 2016 received after due date will neither be opened nor entertained.

17. Common Mistakes Resulting in Rejection of Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme Applications 2016 :

  1. Photographs are not self attested.
  2. Percentage below 50%.
  3. Application incomplete in any respect and or / without copies of requisite certificates will be rejected summarily. Documents whatsoever submitted at a later stage will not be acted upon. No correspondence will be entertained by NCC / Rtg Dte in this regard.
  4. Variation ( if any ) in names and spellings as recorded in Matriculation or equivalent certificate and Graduation certificate should be supported by an affidavit.
  5. Copies of certificates are not found self attested.
  6. Self attested copies of Matric or equivalent certificates are not found enclosed with applications ( for verification of age ). No other certificate is valid for authentication of age.
  7. Application not received on due date.
  8. Candidates who submit more than one application will be disqualified for this course.
  9. Any ambiguity / erasure / unattested cutting / false information / concealment of information detected at any stage of selection, in certificates / application will result in the cancellation of the candidature.

18. Change in Interview Dates for Indian Army 2016 :

  1. Request for change of SSB interview dates will not be accepted. However under most unavoidable circumstances such a change may be considered based on the circumstances of the case. This will be an exception rather than the rule. Requests for such change duly supported by relevant documents should be sent to the Selection Centre from where the call-up letter for Indian Army SSB Interview 2016 has been received and not to Directorate General of Recruiting.
  2. Candidates failing to intimate the reasons for not attending Indian Army SSB interview on the due date, to the selection Centre from where the call up letter was received, will not be afforded any further chance to attend Indian Army SSB interview.
  3. No request for change of Indian Army interview Centre will be entertained under any circumstances.

19. The Army Offers You

  1. Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme Pay Scale 2016 : The promotion from Lieutenant to Lieutenant Colonel is on time scale basis and thereafter on selection basis subject to fulfillment of requisite service conditions. The pay scale and promotion criteria for Indian Army is as under :

    Note : In the case of allowances specific to Defence Forces, the rates of these allowances have been further enhanced by 25% as Dearness Allowance has gone up by 50%.

20. Cost to Company ( CTC ) : The CTC for a Lieutenant would be approximately Rupee63725/- per month. This includes Basic Pay, DA, Grade Pay, Military Service Pay, House Rent Allowance and Transport Allowance. These rates are not statutory and are subject to change.

21. Privileges : In addition to the CTC mentioned above, Army provide free Medical Facilities for Self & dependents, Canteen facilities, Entitled Ration, Mess / Club / Sports facilities, Furnished Govt Accommodation, Car / Housing Loan at subsidized rate.

22. Group Insurance and Gratuity : The Gentleman cadets of OTA in receipt of stipend are insured for Rupee50 lac w.e.f. 01 Sep 2014. Those who get medically boarded out of Academy on account of disability, the disability cover provided for 100% disability will be Rupee25 lac which is proportionately reduced upto Rupee5 lac for 20% disability. However, for less than 20% disability, no disability benefit is eligible but an Ex-gratia grant of Rupee50,000/- will be paid. Disability due to alcoholism, drug addiction and due to the diseases of pre enrolment origin will not qualify for disability benefits and ex gratia grant.

In addition, Gentleman cadet withdrawn on disciplinary ground, expelled or as undesirable or voluntarily leaving the Academy will also not be eligible for disability benefits and ex gratia Grant. Subscription at the rate of Rupee5,000/- will have to be paid in advance on monthly basis by the Gentleman cadets who are in receipt of stipend and will become members of the main Army Group Insurance Scheme as applicable to regular Army Officers.

23. Leave Entitlements : On commission, officers are entitled to 60 days annual and 20 days casual leave every year ( subject to service exigencies ). They are also entitled for 40% rail concession to any place and free travel ( as per extant rules ) for self and family. Leave during training period will be as per the Training Policy in force.

24. Sports and Adventure : The Indian Army provides facilities to pursue any sport of your liking. In addition, one can learn and participate in adventure sports, such as river rafting, mountaineering, hot air ballooning, hang gliding, horse riding etc.

25. Stipend / Pay During Training at OTA : During the period of Indian Army training the candidates will be given a stipend or Rupee21,000/- p.m. ( Rupee15,600/- as pay in Pay Band plus Grade Pay Rupee5,400/- ). On completion of training for Indian Army. Officers are commissioned as Lt and entitled to the pay scale as given in para 15 above.

26. The final allotment of Arms / service / Corps at the time of passing out will be the sole discretion of Integrated HQ, Min of Defence ( Army ) keeping in view the existing policy. No representation is tenable on this account.

27. Important Instructions for Indian Army 2016 :

  1. In case the Provisional degree certificate / marksheets do not indicate clearly the maximum marks and marks obtained for all the years, a certificate University / College duly signed by the Controller of Exams / Principal must be enclosed stating that “Mr / Miss……..has obtained ………. marks out of ………. marks as aggregate in the Degree examinations taking all the years marks into account” In such cases if this certificate is not found enclosed, the application for Indian Army will be rejected.
  2. Any change in your postal address after submission of application for Indian Army must be communicated by post duly quoting your Roll No., Name and Course opted for.

28. Place of SSBs will be displayed on Army website

29. Format of Application form given on Army website is also acceptable.

      For every candidate maximum of 4 attempts is permitted and 7 to those belonging to Other Backward Classes.

      There is no restriction on number of attempts for SC / ST candidates.
