Indian Army - Technical Graduate Course Important Instructions

8. Important Instructions for Indian Army - Technical Graduate Course & Short Service Commission Course 2008:

(a) Candidates for Technical Arms and Services (Engineers) holding diploma awarded by State Boards of Technical Education are Not Eligible to apply,

(b) Candidates who submit more than one application will be disqualified for this course as well as from applying for commission in the Army in future,

(c) Candidates withdrawn on disciplinary ground from NDA, IMA and OTA are NOT eligible to apply for commission into Army,

(d) Candidates not in receipt of call-up letter from any of the selection Centre for SSB interview should presume that either their application has been received after due date or could not come in short-list or found ineligible. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

9- How to Apply for Indian Army - Technical Graduate Course & Short Service Commission Course 2008:

(a) Apply on fulscape paper (typed) as per format given in the advertisement only. Applications on any other format will be rejected,

(b) Only attach photocopies of the following documents or certificates along with the application which should be properly tagged and duly attested by Government Gazetted Officer

(i) Matriculation Certificate issued by Board of Secondary Education or Central Board of Secondary Education as proof of date of birth (transfer certificate, affidavit etc, are not acceptable)

(ii) Degree/ provisional certificate alongwith Marksheets of all the years/parts/semesters as proof of educational qualification

(iii) one unstamped self addressed envelope to receive an interview call letter should also be enclosed with the application,

(iv) Affix your photograph in the space provided in the application form and attested by a Govt. Gazetted Officer (v) NCC 'C' Certificate Or National Certificate of Bravery/Gallantry Award Or Certificate showing representing of the State in National Sports competition may also be attached, if any, held,

(c) Application incomplete in any respect and/or without any of the above mentioned documents {as indicated at Paras 9(a), 9(b)(i), 9(b)(ii), and 9(b)(iii)} and/or not duly attested by a Govt Gazetted officer will be rejected summarily,

(d) The provisional degree certificate in support of education qualification should clearly state that the student has passed the specified degree examination and is eligible for award of Degree,

(e) No original certificates will be enclosed with the application,

(f) The application should be sent in a white envelope SUPERSCRIBED IN RED INK on the top left corner indicating the first preference for entry and also the subject/discipline.

For Example "107th TGC: Mechanical Engineering" OR "31st SSC (Tech): Mechanical Engineering" (g) Post your application by Registered/ Speed Post to reach at the following address on or before 30 Nov. 2007:-

Additional Directorate General of Recruiting, Rtg. TGC Entry, AG's Branch, Army Hqrs, West Block-Ill, RK Puram, New Delhi-110066.

Military Farms only:-Applications in respect of candidates applying for Military Farms category will be forwarded directly to Directorate of Military Farms (MF-1), QMG's Branch, West Block-Ill, RK Puram, New Delhi-110066.

(h) Any application sent through courier service will not be accepted in the absence of the same

(i) Candidates are advised to apply sufficiently in advance of the last date. Application received after the last date for the receipt of application i.e. 30 Nov 2007 will be summarily rejected,

(j) Any change in your postal address should be communicated immediately to this. Directorate,

(k) Persons already in Central or State Govt. Service whether permanent or in temporary capacity or as work-charge employee or those serving under the Public Sector enterprises are required to submit an undertaking that they have informed their head of office/ department in writing that they have applied for commission in the Army.

Candidates should note that in case a communication is received by this HQ from their employer withholding permission for such application their application shall be rejected and candidature cancelled.

(I) All candidates serving in the Armed Forces must get their applications countersigned by their OC/CO.

10. Change in Interview Dates

a) Request for Change of SSB Interview dates will not be accepted. However under most unavoidable circumstances, such a change may be considered based on the circumstances of the case.

This will be an exception rather than a rule. Request for such change duly supported by a certificate from a Government Gazetted Officer alongwith one unstamped self addressed envelop should be sent to Selection Centre from where the call-up letter for SSB Interview has beep received and NOT to Additional Directorate General of Recruiting.

(b) No request for change of interview centre will be entertained under any circumstances.

11. Check List While Filling Up The Application Form:-

(a) Format of Application Form is same as published in the Notification and all columns have been filled up.

(b) Photograph affixed and attested by a Govt. Gazetted Officer.

(c) Matric /equivalent certificate for verification of date of birth attached and attested by Govt. Gazetted Officer.

(d) Preference of Entry be mentioned in Para 9 of Application Form,

(e) Degree/Provisional Degree alongwith all semester Mark Sheets attached and attested by Govt. Gazetted Officer,

(f) All declarations have been typed in the Application Form,

(g) Application is signed by the candidate.
