Aim: To train Female candidates as Nurses and employ them as Nursing Officers in the Armed Forces.
Course Offered: College of Nursing, AFMC, Pune offers B.Sc (Nursing) General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Course, every year.
No of Seats: 40 Seats for 4 years B.Sc (Nursing) and 180 Seats for 3years training in Diploma in Gen Nursing & Midwifery Course.(Usually commences in Aug/Sep).On successful completion of Nursing training (4/3 Years) the candidates will be granted commission in the Military Nursing Service.
Eligibility Conditions:
Females who are unmarried or divorcee or legally separated or Widows without encumbrances.
Nationality: Indian
Date of Birth: should be between 17 to 24 years
Education Qualification: Should have passed in the first attempt the complete senior secondary (10 + 2) / equivalent examination from a recognized Board /University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum 50 % aggregate marks as a regular student. Those who passed such examination as private students or with compartment in any subject are not eligible.
Physical standards: Medical fitness will be determined as per military standards by Military authorities.
Selection:Eligible candidates will be called for an objective type written test of 90 minutes duration covering the topics in General English, Biology and General Intelligence. Likely to be held in Feb/Mar of every year. As per merit list the selected candidates will be called for Interview in Mar/Apr. Final merit list will be as per combined merit, subject to medical fitness.
Medical Examination: After the Interview the recommended candidates will have to appear for medical examination before a Special Medical board.
Written Examination Centres: (Souther Region) Bangalore, Kochi, Chennai, Secunderabad, Trivandram and Vishakpatnam.
How to Apply: Apply on a plain paper (21 Cm x36 Cm) as per the format given in the Advertisement. Candidate should have passed the specified qualification examinations before submission of their application.

An affidavit stating that you are issueless (In case of widows /divorcees)

Legal documents of the divorcees and an affidavit that the matter is not under consideration with the High court.
