When you join the Army your approximate pay & Allowances would be

During Training: Rs.4592 for Soldiers GD, Rs.3940 for Non metric Entry Soldiers

After Training: Rs.5485 for GD Soldiers, Rs.5137 for Non Metric Entry Soldiers.

Method of Selection Procedure:

The candidates are required to report to the Recruiting Office on the date published in the local news paper with all educational and other documents.

Stage 1: Physical fitness test:

1.6 Km Run under 6.30 Minutes
Pull Up - 6 to 12
Push Up - 25 to 35
Chin Ups - 8 to 16
9 Feet Jump - Pass

Stage 2: Written examination one paper consisting of English / Maths and General Knowledge.

Stage 3: Medical Examination

For Religious teachers: Physical Fitness test to run 1.6 Km under 8 minutes.

Written Examination:

Paper- I 250 marks General Awareness
Paper-II 250 marks – Specific to the particular religion for which he applies
Interview for those candidates who pass the written test. will be conducted
