As an Indian Army Engineer, you could be a part of any of the three elite corps of Engineers,

• Bombay Spares
• Madras Engineers
• Bengal Engineers.

Where you will be an expert at building and demolishing anything under the sun.

The Corps of Signals, 

Where your responsibility will include providing hi-tech radio and line communication back up to the Army.

The Electrical and Mechanical Engineers

They look after all the complex equipment that the Army possesses.

Two Options available

a) Permanent Commission
b) Short Service Commission

In short service Commission you can serve for 5 years and have an option to quit the army.

Note: For Engineering Graduates Eye Sight: Distant Vision corrected Better eye 6/6, worse eye 6/18, Myopia not of more than minus 3.50 including astigmatism.

Minimum Height acceptable is 157.5 Cms.

University Entry Scheme

For Graduates in any discipline:

Short Service Commission in the Army Training given at Officers Training Academy Chennai.

For Technical Entry - Engineering Graduates:

For NCC Special Entry Scheme For male candidates. Graduates with 50%  aggregate Marks. Two years service in NCC Senior Division Army. Minimum “B” Grade in “C” Certificate.
