Central Police Force:
Central Police Forces consists of the following:

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)

Border Security Force (BSF)

Central Industrial Security Force (CSIF)

Indo- Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)
The above Police Forces recruits Officers at the rank of Assistant Commandants (Equal to Captain Rank in the army) for it Group "A" Services.
Conditions of Eligibility:
Age Limits: Candidates must have obtained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years as on 1st August of the month of Examination. (The upper age limit is relaxable for SC and ST and other backward Communities.)
Educational Qualifications: Degree of a recognized University or an equivalent qualification.
Sex: Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for appointment to CRPF, ITBP and CISF. However, only Male candidates are eligible for appointment to BSF and SSB.
Physical and Medical Standards: Candidates must meet the physical and medical standards specified.
NCC "B" and "C" Certificate Holders. Possession of NCC "B" and "C" certificates will be a desirable qualification. The desirable qualifications will be given consideration at the time of Interview /Personality test only.
Selection Procedure: Selections will be made on the basis of a Written Examination to be conducted buy the UPSC , followed by the Physical Standards / Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests to be conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Personality Test /Interview to be conducted by UPSC.
Application Form: The Candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for the examinations which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices /Post Offices as specified in the Employment News (Advertisement)., through out the country against cash payment of Rs 20/-.
Examination Fee: Rs 100/- to be paid through Central Recruitment Fee stamp only. SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees. (OBC candidates are required to pay full fees)

The selection Procedure / Scheme:
Written Examination: The UPSC will hold a written examination: Paper- I: General Ability and Intelligence test- 250 marks (Multiple Choice) Essay, Precis Writing and Comprehension- 150 marks. There will be minimum qualifying marks separately in each paper as may be fixed by the Commission
Phsyical Standards /Physical Efficiency Tests And Medical Standards:
Candidates who are declared qualified in the written examination will be summoned for Physicial Standards?PET.

Interview / Personality Tests:
Candidates, who are declared qualified in the Medical Standards tests, will be called for the Interview/ Personality Test to be conducted by the UPSC. This test will carry 200 marks. Those qualifying will be merit listed. On the basis of marks obtained in Written and Interview
Syllabi of the written papers:
General Mental Ability; Questions will be on Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude including Numerical Ability and Data Interpretation.
General Science: General Awareness, Scientific Temper, IT, Biotech, Environmental Science Current Event and National and International Importance:- In areas of Culture, Music, arts, literature, sports, governance, Societal and developmental Issues, industry, business, globalization and interplay among nations.
Indian Politics and Economy: Knowledge of Indian Political System, Constitution of India.
History of India: Broadly cover areas of Social, economical, political aspects, growth of nationalism and freedom movement.
Indian and World Geography: Physical, social and economic aspects of geography pertaining to India and the World.
PAPER-II : Essay, Precis writing and Comprehension.

Height - 165 Cms 81 cms with expansion (MALE)
Height - 157 Cms (Female)
Weight - 50 Kg for male
Weight - 46 Kg for Female
Eye sight corrected up to 6/6
